Been here?
This large asphalt parking area is used by hikers and lies 850 m from Storfossen. A current sign limits parking to 6-22h, and the site has no services apart from two bins. It is a convenient daytime base for the waterfall trail, though summer traffic and visitors can be noisy.

There is a sign indicating that parking is allowed only from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. But the starting point for the waterfall hike is very nice.Translating
Large, fairly flat asphalt parking area, quiet at night despite the fairly nearby road. Starting point for some nice hikes, especially the one to Storfossen, which is very easy to access. No services, just two bins. We were only two vehicles that night. It was perfect for stopping on the way from Trondheim.Translating
Popular motorcycle route in summer. Traffic noise until late at night, plus many waterfall visitors who are also noisy until late. We barely slept. We would not stay here overnight again. The waterfall is very beautiful—for the day, it is a good place to stop if you want to go hiking.Translating
Nice and quiet place, just a little farther from the main road. There are lovely waterfalls a short distance from the parking area. There is a rubbish bin, but no toilet.Translating
Good parking area for hiking to the waterfall. We also had a quiet night with three other campers. However, the owner of the area came to us and said that last year things had got out of hand and the place had been full of campers. The bins were overflowing because everyone disposed of their rubbish at the parking area. It is a hiking car park, not a campervan site! Take your rubbish with you into the towns.Translating
Small hiking car park, fairly quiet at night. There is currently plenty of space; in the morning there were four campers. There is probably room for twice as many without disturbing each other. The waterfall is about 20 minutes away with good footwear.Translating
Perfect for stopping and going hiking. There were lots of people in the car park, but since the hike is quite short there is a lot of turnover. If it is on your route, take the time to stop. However, we do not recommend it for overnight stays.Translating
Hiking car park "Kringelmyra": the short hike to Storfossen is an absolute must! It is wonderful to have a picnic there; benches and tables are available. It is a nature reserve, so please take everything away with you! One more note: on the approach through the village there are some very nasty speed bumps across the road that are difficult to see. Drive carefully! :-)Translating
Quiet place for a night with a lot of space, and nearby is a nice hiking route leading to stunning waterfall. However there are no facilities.
The "spacious" parking area was occupied by eight campers this morning, even in the low season. If this continues and ordinary hikers can no longer find a parking space in the morning, you can imagine how this will end. No camping. If you continue along the road, there are at least three really large gravel areas in the forest where nobody is disturbed. However, there is no waterfall.Translating
Spacious parking area with a rubbish bin; the toilet shown in the picture is no longer there. Popular with hikers; three of us stayed overnight. You can hear the road, but it is quiet overnight.Translating
Lovely quiet place to spend the night.Translating
We spontaneously spent one night here. The place is large and quiet. Occasionally a car passes during the night. Direct access to the waterfall, about 850 m away. Well worth seeing.Translating
