Neglected area, no disposal

The access to this place, and even the road to the village, is extremely bad and heavily damaged, with many potholes—very unpleasant for motorhomes. During the day, all the pitches were occupied by cars. Water was available; it was unclear whether the electricity worked. The place seemed neglected and deserted, so we drove on.

The parking area is right beside the provincial road, which has little traffic, and about 1.5 km from the village. There are a few used condoms here and there, and a car occasionally parks. The positive thing is that there is a nice little park immediately adjacent, and the electricity is free, which is always much appreciated.

In this heat, we were particularly delighted to find this area at an altitude of 730 m, which guaranteed us a cool night and good sleep. Thank you to the municipality for making this site available to travelers. Electricity, running water, and bins—wonderful.

Simply perfect. Eight free electricity connections and water. Through the small gate on the left side of the site, there is a picnic area and a small children’s playground. Drainage points are available, as is waste disposal in the concrete container on the right when you enter. The waste collection truck comes by and collects it from there. The approach is somewhat adventurous.

Zungoli has a castle, several churches, and palaces. It is a village undergoing renovation, with beautifully decorated houses but also others in disrepair. The area has electricity and water. A man told us that there is a gym offering toilets and cold showers from 5 to 8 p.m. It was hot, so this was very useful. Everyone was very pleasant. We had a great dinner at Agriturismo Il Tratturo at very reasonable prices (€15), a five-minute walk away.

The area is somewhat exposed. A stray dog came several times during the night and barked near the car, resulting in a bad night. Positive points: there is plenty of space and several drinking-water access points. Thank you for that!

Quiet area. It is a bit of a walk to the village, but it is worth it… very beautiful.

Good access, beautiful view, quiet pitch with electricity and water—what more could you want?

I had two quiet nights here. Beautiful sorroundings, free parking, water and electricity. No signage anymore tho, but some workers from the city came by without saying anything.

The signs really are no longer there, but the site is operational, with water taps and electricity sockets. Many thanks to the municipality. For anyone who finds it too far to walk to the village of Zungoli, you can park at the cemetery during the day. See the P4N listing there.

The site is not marked as such. The electricity and water pillars work. Disposal is not possible. I spent a peaceful night here completely alone. Zungoli is a member of the Club of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy and is definitely worth a visit. Very friendly people live here.

A quiet nights sleep and the water was working however the roads in and out of the area are in a bad way. There isn’t much to do in the area but it’s OK for a night en route somewhere. The area and park next down is all quite run down.

Five stars, even though the disposal facilities are not very good. The municipal workers who come here in the morning and evening were very friendly.
