This is a large, paid parking area and starting point for hikes and refuges, reached by a long, steep but manageable road. A Fiat Ducato 6.36m can reach it without difficulty, and the road is wide. Parking is prohibited from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. between 01/06 and 30/09, and payment is at a meter several kilometres below.

Ideal parking area for starting a hike. We got there with a 6.36 m Ducato van without any problem. Wide road. Do not sleep there! Parking is paid at the meter located a few kilometers lower down, so remember to pay. We slept a few kilometers lower down by the roadside, outside the area where camping is prohibited.
There is a large parking area for starting hikes and heading to the refuge.
Long and steep climb, but manageable with a 7.3 m vehicle. If you are coming to hike toward the plateau lakes, it may be better to take the free shuttle from Termignon (ask the tourist office for information).
