Shaded riverside, self-sufficient stop

Quiet, shaded, with little traffic on the road. A very pleasant spot. Short hikes along the Thaurion.

We spent one very quiet night here. Very pleasant place with beautiful walks nearby. Small road with practically no traffic. Of course, you must be self-sufficient.

Small parking area beside the water, with a picnic table; you can swim just a little farther downstream. Beside the road, but in the middle of August we did not see a single car! Peaceful night, very good spot!

Parking beside a lightly travelled road, but once you go down below, you can enjoy the peace and the sounds of nature.

Great! The parking area itself is quite basic, although it is a flat grassy area with a bin and table, and we were alone that night. But what lies just below is incredible! The river is magnificent. No traffic at night, just the sound of the water.

The spot where you park your van is not remarkable in itself: a roadside car park. It is true that many cars park there during the day as it is the starting point for hikes, but the picnic area below is magical: shaded, among the trees, beside the river, with several tables. There is also a very accessible one-hour hike and it is extremely peaceful.

Very beautiful place, but already many people sleeping there, and a lot of traffic as well.
