Free daytime parking along the river, with roadside spaces and a small parking area. The residential area was considered safe, and the parking could be used all day. The ground has a slight slope, with newly built blocks and trees along the pavements; there are no services.

We parked the van in this free parking area all day. On Google Maps the buildings had not yet been built, but when we arrived there were already new blocks. The area is residential and seemed safe to us. There is a slight slope and trees planted on the sidewalks, so we had a little shade. We paid €5 for a taxi to the center of Porto.
Used for a daytime visit to the city. Free, quiet parking, with several restaurants in the port area just a few minutes' walk away. Recommended. With three children, we opted for a taxi; the center is about 4 km away.
