A large, quiet parking area used by hikers and climbers, surrounded by trees at an altitude of 1.100m. Overnight stays have been possible, with flatter gravel available at parking area P2. The approach is very bumpy, especially over the last 3km, and there is no mobile reception anywhere on the site or road.

Very beautiful, quiet and relatively level place. The approach is very bumpy but manageable. However, there is no mobile reception anywhere on the site or on the road leading up to it.
Amazing place for night rest. We were completely alone here. The road is tough, bet it is worth it :) Go to the P2 as it was written before, it was the last parking space. Please note , there is not mobile connection at all!
Stayed one night in a stock suspension VW Transporter. don't underestimate the approach road, it takes some skill and nerve - especially in the dark. The actual P2 parking is the best, so if you're doing it push on to the top where there's flat gravel parking. The space is large and we weren't disturbed. It is very remote and we didn't have phone signal. Approach road poses risk to the vehicle.
The approach to the parking area takes a while and is uneven. Not suitable for sports cars. The parking area itself is very large. We stayed there after climbing to Klagenfurter Hütte, where we ate well. We were alone and surrounded by nature.
I will say you need to be a good a driver to manage the last 3km with a van, but it's doable and definitely worth it! Stayed there for two nights, went hiking for a whole day and left the next day.
