51 Allée Circulaire, 27200, Vernon
Been here?
A single parking place under a tree at the entrance to a forest, near a viewpoint and a steep walking route into Vernon. The spot itself has no particular view, while the viewpoint is about 2 minutes away and the town is around 15 minutes on foot. Private security has challenged overnight stays, and late-night disturbances have occurred; barbed-wire fencing is present.

Isolated place, but we were approached by local private security, probably from the campus, who told us we were not allowed to be there but let us spend the night. Then we were disturbed by young people knocking on the van windows at 11:30 p.m. A late-night meeting place for young people.
It's a great spot & very quiet. No views from the parking particularly, but make sure you walk to the view point, literally 2 mins away. It's a steep walk into town, wear decent shoes! Just mind the barbed wire fencing!
A new neighbourhood is being built, so there is quite a lot of construction, but it is very good for visiting Vernon through the forest.
Quiet place; occasionally walkers or cyclists pass by. We are spending our second night here and leaving tomorrow. No problems. Fifteen minutes’ walk downhill to the small town, with a beautiful path through the forest and a fantastic viewpoint right around the corner. Great for lingering a while. 4G, sometimes 5G, but fluctuating.
