All. du Cimetière 11, 1763, Granges-Paccot
Been here?
Quiet park-and-ride at the edge of Fribourg, near the cemetery, popular with campervans for overnight stops. Flat, spacious and free to park overnight, though a small daytime fee applies during the day. About a 15-25 minute walk (or short bike ride) into the old town, with a bus stop nearby and supermarkets close by. Generally calm at night, but municipal workers arrive early (around 6-6:15am) causing some morning noise and traffic. Access road is not via the signposted Route de Josaphat - go via Chemin Saint-Léonard instead.

A very quiet and safe parking area at night. We slept there during the week, and very early in the morning the municipal workers arrived to work; their base is there. So it is noisy early on weekdays. Otherwise, it is pleasant and quiet.
Great for spending the night! Be careful, the address is incorrect. This place cannot be accessed from Josaphat Road; the area is for residents only and protected by ground bollards! You have to go all the way around and pass under the bridge; it is at the end of Saint-Leonard Lane.
You cannot do better for visiting the city. Bus stop very close. Very affordable rates. Great.
Excellent spot for a good night's sleep.
A good spot for one night in Fribourg. Woken early by activity and vehicles at 6 a.m.… but slept well and it feels secure.
Attention! On April 25, 2024, the entire parking area is closed from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Good flat spot. Quiet overnight with occasional morning traffic. Walking distance to Fribourg but bus stop is close by if necessary. Also close to couple of supermarkets which is helpful
