Fairly flat indeed near the two trees, but generally very exposed to the wind because it is a kind of mountain pass. The two trees provide very little shade. If you are looking for somewhere cooler, it is better to go a little farther to the spot at the start of the Cirque de Saint-Genis.✦Translating

Great spot, great view, and a lovely little walk to Pic de l’Aigle (2 km round trip with some elevation gain). Park by the two trees, where it is flattest, as mentioned in the other comments. Bring something warm to wear at the end of the day ;)✦Translating
