Been here?
Grassy roadside spot at the Col de la Croix, offering a beautiful panoramic view and very quiet nights. The ground is generally sloping, but 2-3 flatter places can be found near the two trees. The access is somewhat rocky, and the site is exposed to wind with little shade. A large manure pile is less than 50m away, although no smell or flies were reported.

Great place, fantastic view and quiet. However, the access is a little rocky.Translating
Superb viewpoint, beautiful sunrise, after a very peaceful night, on this November 13. The only drawback was a large manure pile less than 50 meters away, but there was no smell or flies, which is normal for the season.Translating
Beautiful spot, very quiet with a lovely view, ideal for a peaceful evening and night. During the day there is not enough shade in this hot period.Translating
Very good spot for one night. Pros: almost level, 360-degree view, easy access. Cons: next to the road, visible from the road, windy, with no shelter.Translating
Magnificent 360° view, easy access. 2–3 flat spaces near the tree, otherwise slightly sloping.Translating
Good spot, I agree with all the previous comments. Quiet, clean, fairly flat, beautiful view. On windy days it gets quite rough; that was the case for one of the two nights we spent there. No sunset, but still very sunny.Translating
Almost flat ground near the trees, easy access, panoramic view. Small road below with very little traffic.Translating
Fairly flat indeed near the two trees, but generally very exposed to the wind because it is a kind of mountain pass. The two trees provide very little shade. If you are looking for somewhere cooler, it is better to go a little farther to the spot at the start of the Cirque de Saint-Genis.Translating
Great, flat spot near the trees.Translating
Great spot, great view, and a lovely little walk to Pic de l’Aigle (2 km round trip with some elevation gain). Park by the two trees, where it is flattest, as mentioned in the other comments. Bring something warm to wear at the end of the day ;)Translating
