Been here?
This official waterside parking bay on the old road offers a flat, peaceful place to stay beside the fjord, with views of the Lyngen Alps. Traffic is very light, especially at night, and the rocky shoreline is accessible. No facilities are provided at the bay, although public toilets are available nearby along the road.

Peaceful place with a view of the fjord, very few cars passing by, ideal for dinners with a view and relaxing. Clean public toilets nearby along the road.
Great place to spend the night. Very quiet and plenty of space.
Wonderful place, very quiet but without facilities.
Great spot, very quiet, flat and great views of the alps. So peaceful
Very good spot. Very quiet. You can even go down onto the rocks by the water.
We stayed there a week and a half ago. Really fantastic view of the Lyngen Alps and a very quiet night—hardly any cars pass by.
Superb view of the Lyngen Alps! By squeezing in a little, eight vehicles can fit. We saw porpoises and caught four, but they were small and were returned to the water. Fresh water at the waterfall. Little traffic.
Cool—porpoises and puffins swim around here.
Very quiet parking area; we slept like babies. However, it’s not great for fishing.
Fits 6+ cars. Quiet parking area off the E6. We slept so long that we were startled when we woke up. 5/5. You can cast for fish from the shore.
What a beautiful place on the old E6, away from the busy ‘real’ E6—wonderfully quiet. Views of the Lyngen Alps and porpoises swimming past. Walk down for a nice fishing spot. No facilities; those are about 2 km farther at the parking area along the E6.
Simply perfect. Absolutely quiet place in the middle of nowhere with a sensational view. There are no prohibitions visible here. The no-parking signs have nothing to do with this spot; they refer to the road farther on, which is a dead end.
Beautiful view of the Lyngen Alps and small glaciers. On clear nights, it’s possible to see the northern lights from September onward. Shore fishing is fine because it gets deep immediately. A few porpoises patrol during the rising tide. Quiet at night.
Very beautiful view from this small, very quiet parking area.
The old E6—a place with plenty of space. Two vans and a 9-meter motorhome fit comfortably one behind the other. Still clean, not much toilet paper. Quiet, ideal for relaxing and continuing on. Wonderful view. Hardly any traffic—only residents and a bus passed by. We would have liked to spend the night, but had to move on.
A quiet place with stunning views of Lyngen Fjord and mountains. Will definitely stay again.
Exactly as described! Parking/viewing place by the old road. Stuning view on the fjord and glaciers on the other side. Virtually no traffic on the road, neither at night nor morning. Small waterfalls nearby, so you sleep with the water noise... Magic!
