Been here?
A quiet parking area near the Coldstones Cut, offering beautiful views and a short walk to the artwork and old lime kiln. There are no services or bins, and visitors should take their rubbish away. The site is gently sloping, exposed and often windy, with some potholes. Nights are usually peaceful, though quarry noise from 6am and occasional vehicle horns have been reported.

No bins or services but quiet with beautiful views. Short walk to the Coldston Cuts an old lime kiln. Great places to fly a drone over too. You can drive into the village and park at the show-ground for the day. Had the best pies eve in the village!
Superb quiet location with a beautiful view.
nice place to spend a day, you do get a few nutters who think it's funny to drive past during the night with Thier hands on Thier horns, but overall it's a nice place to camp and wake up to .
Fantastic parkup. Stayed here on a Sunday night. Walked up to the art installation worth a walk up. The car park was fairly level were we were. Just us and 1 other van for the night, very quiet with minimal road noise through the night.
Great park up. Stayed Saturday night arrived at dusk. Nice and clean and pretty quiet. site gently slopes so we needed levelling blocks. Very windy so the top stayed down for the night. No facilities so use your own toilet and ship any rubbish out. good to stick a few quid in the honesty box located at the seating area.
Great stopover for Coldstones Cut. Very windy and it rained all night; very exposed but a great location. Highly recommended.
Stayed here for one night, one other camper there with us, few cars in and out with walkers then settled down about 8pm, no problems at all, bit noisy from quarry from 6am, that was the only drawback to this spot.
Brilliant place for a quiet night under the stars. Nice sunset from the top of the hill too.
perfect spot for a quiet night. There was 5 other campervans when we arrived. great location for walks and level hard standing ground.
Fabulous park-up. Thanks, P4N.
Great overnight spot. peaceful and no traffic noise after dark. quite a few pot holes but managed to get level on first attempt. arrived late Friday night , nice and misty. perfect nights sleep. only 1 other van. 5 stars.
Lovely, quiet spot with beautiful views. Would stay again!
Quiet, spacious car park with nice views and walks. The Barn Cafe is a seven-minute walk away. We slept well. A few campers came through during the night; it is busy during the day. We did not notice any troublemakers.
it's nice , just a shame some locals feel the need to drive past at all hours of the night blowing their horns because they think it's funny to wake up any campervan's . pity they don't have any speed cameras around here!
Small carpark at the bottom of Coldstones Cut, it's next to a road but we found it quiet at night so slept peacefully. No services and no bins so take your rubbish with you. All in all a good little park up.
this post code will take you up a country farm road, ended up taking my 6 berth on a dangerous lane (nor road, not street) which I had to go all the way to the end to turn, when your on the road to this, continue and stay on it. You will easily see the sign for this park up, so the park up was spacious, quiet and little road side noise, keep it clean please, it's wee gem of a spot.
Parked here after visiting the surrounding area. The car park is used by visitors to Coldstones Cut. Good phone signal. Slightly away from the road and sheltered from a westerly wind, with plenty of space for six to nine campers. Very clean spot. Please look after it and take your rubbish with you.
Absolutely lovely, perfect, quiet and beautiful spot! 100% recommend!
Post code takes you way past this spot! arrived around 18:00 there was a few cars in the car park all gone by 19:00 pretty flat all over very little road noise 1 mile walk up to Coldstone cut up and down. great little spot.
Good spot. Dipped down from the road so didn’t feel as exposed. About 15 min walk to Coldstones Cut. Good 4G signal. Other campers so felt safe. Picnic bench. Quite windy when I was there.
Stopped here 1 night, an alright park up, a little uneven and a little road noise but quietens down later on. I tucked myself up in the top part of the car park as it was a little bit windy as it is more sheltered there. Nice quiet night apart from 2 guys turning up at 1am to use the place as a toilet but did not cause me any problems and were on there way once they had relieved themselves.
