11 Primær Fylkesveg 550, 5778, Utne
Been here?
A gravel parking spot beside a very quiet road, suitable for a quick overnight stay and accessible to all vehicle types. The surrounding area has been clear-cut, so it no longer resembles the wooded setting shown in older photos. A steep 2.25km walk leads to a viewpoint, while continuing up the toll road requires 60 nok paid in cash or through a Norwegian app.

It is a clear-cut area; all the trees are gone. It is no longer like in the photos.
Very quiet, with little traffic. Unfortunately, there are many bits of toilet paper left by previous visitors in the forest. Otherwise, really beautiful. And there is a free-roaming cow that was fed by a local.
Just off of a very quiet road and surrounded by thick pine forest. Gravel surface and fairly level. Nice but steep 2.25km walk up the toll road to a good viewpoint, saw pine martins as we walked. Good 5g signal, peaceful and quiet nights sleep. About 30 minutes from Utne ferry. No bins, take your rubbish when you leave.
Great for one night, no passing traffic. Don't continue along the road, otherwise there is a 60 NOK toll to pay in cash or via a Norwegian app. There is also a very steep hill, and motorhomes are prohibited.
Very good for the night. Peaceful forest. A spot hidden from the road, unlike the others. Don't go up to the other spot unless you're in a car. It's very, very steep.
