Camping municipal de Espinho

Perfect for spending a couple of nights. Great pool and slightly old but clean bathrooms. Super-friendly staff. We left our motorhome there and walked to the station to visit Porto for the day. It was great, convenient and quick.✦Translating

Very good parking area for visiting Porto and Espinho. Supermarket within walking distance. The facilities are old but clean, and so is the pool. Remember to bring your own toilet paper; there is none. For the price, it is a great campsite: we paid €23 for two people and a van.✦Translating

Small campsite with shaded pitches. Some pitches on the left side are marked out, whereas on the right side it is more open and spacious depending on how you set up. Although the sanitary facilities are outdated, the hygiene cannot be faulted! Cleaning was done constantly, and the staff spent a lot of time on it. Several well-distributed sanitary blocks. The sanitary facilities are very outdated and do not make you want to use them at all. The pitches at the top are steep, while those at the bottom, which are flatter, are close to the very busy road. The pool was not open on June 20! The back of the campsite is abandoned. I think the sanitary facilities need to be rebuilt, even if prices have to increase slightly.✦Translating

Large campsite with many charming corners. The train station for Porto is about 1.5 km away via a pleasant avenue. The beach is about 20 minutes away. Close to a supermarket. Good value for money. All services work. You can even wash your motorhome. It has its own atmosphere. We came for two nights and stayed for seven; we left reluctantly.✦Translating

We were very satisfied! Yes, the pitches are tight, but even with a 7 m vehicle we managed in the top row, which is quieter because it is farther from the road. The lady at reception was very friendly and explained exactly how to take the train to Porto. It worked wonderfully. Seven minutes by bike to the station. Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied and left after the first night. When there was a problem with the electrical distribution box, the campsite lady became extremely rude and personally berated the two of us women. She dragged our power cable through mud and a puddle. In addition, the sanitary facilities need renovation. Unfortunately, not a pleasant experience.✦Translating

A very old campsite. The sanitary facilities are clean and the showers hot. We stayed for a week, visited the surrounding area and went to the Monday market. The staff are very pleasant. We had a very good meal at the restaurant.✦Translating

We paid just under €14 per night. The price is okay, but otherwise the site is unfortunately very neglected; the grass has not been mowed anywhere and is growing 50 cm high..... Very noisy; the site is beside a main road. Reception was okay.✦Translating

This campsite is frozen in time, a little outdated but everything is clean. We stayed for three nights. The train station is a 15-minute walk away: turn left when leaving the campsite, head towards the sea, then follow the street to the right. We visited Porto and Aveiro over two days. The beach is sublime, though perhaps a little dangerous for children swimming.✦Translating

We liked it. If you do not want to pay €50 for a campsite, this is exactly the right place. The sanitary facilities are showing their age but are clean and serve their purpose. Very well-located municipal campsite, with shops, restaurants and beaches nearby. Very attractive price. Possibility of going to Porto by train. The campsite is currently being renovated, so no comments on the motorhome pitches, which should be better defined. Thanks to the municipality and the team for their welcome.

Very old sanitary facilities, but clean. The price is reasonable for what is offered. A very inexpensive site near the centre. But you would not want to stay more than one or two nights, at least not in autumn. I was there once before in 2019, in summer, and found the site better and better maintained then.

Unfortunately, we had a very bad stay there. Our motorhome got stuck, and people from outside the campsite had to come to our aid. Thanks to the people from the Gard region. The managers did not want to help us. We will not return here. Extremely old and dirty sanitary facilities. The only positive point is the price.

Do not expect too much; the price reflects that. Many permanent guests talk loudly and/or play music until late in the evening. The shower is not very good either: the water does not drain away and there is nowhere to hang your clothes or towel to dry. The location is excellent, though, close to the beach, a supermarket with washing machines, and the town centre/train station, which is a 15-minute walk away.

Small campsite, parking on grass. Very reasonable price: €12.32 for a motorhome, two people and electricity. Fine for a stopover. The pitches at the bottom are more accessible but noisy because of the nearby road.

Small, old-fashioned campsite that serves its purpose well. Very friendly staff. We were at the back at the bottom, but if you want more sun, choose pitches at the top or near the entrance. We took the train to visit Porto.

Excellent option to stay and visit Porto by train. Thoroughly cleaned, so the people with bad experiences were just having bad luck with their neighbours. Best shower. 15,40 in September, not even 10,00 in October. Including electricity. All very relaxed.

Great place. We paid €15.40 per day for two adults, with electricity, in the open area. The bathroom is old but clean, with a shower offering excellent water pressure. The service area works well.

You can probably be lucky or unlucky here. In the women’s bathroom, at least in our toilet block, there was vomit, rubbish and faeces on the toilets and floor. The rubbish bin was overflowing. We are sleeping now and will leave immediately in the morning. P.S. We are young with low expectations. It does not need to be five-star, just clean. This is appalling.

This campsite is a real go-with-the-flow campsite. When we arrived, we were astonished by how everyone parks here. The site is sloping and hilly. You may choose your own pitch within the area marked on the map. If you manage to get a good spot, this is a great and affordable campsite for visiting Porto. We paid €15 per night all-inclusive for a motorhome and two people. It is a 20-minute walk from the campsite to the station, and from there the tram to Porto takes 30 minutes, dropping you in the city centre. The welcome at the campsite is very friendly, and security is well organised. We left our motorhome there with peace of mind. We deducted one star for the facilities: the showers and so on really need replacing. But that was no problem for us, as we used our own motorhome facilities.

Old, hot water, cheap, Axci

Good location, nice setting with a stream and surrounded by nature, but very dirty and old. The bathrooms smelled terrible, and the ground is very sloped on some pitches. The staff were friendly.

Great place with many locals. For €20, a 10 m motorhome and 2 adults. Children up to 5 are free; we have 3, so that’s good. The beach promenade is very nice. Good for 1–2 nights. The showers are old and run-down, but the water pressure and hot water are excellent! The gatekeeper takes his job very seriously!

The campsite accepts you knowing that only pitches with a 30° incline remain. Filthy sanitary facilities, moldy doors (not difficult to replace with plastic doors). Even the pool water was questionable... a very popular campsite where everyone does whatever they want whenever they want. One night maximum for me.
