Small parking area beside the cathedral, brick castle and park, about 5 min. walk from the centre. It is suited to smaller vans and can be too narrow for wider campers, while a larger car park is available by the castle. The UNIPARK app charged 2 euros per hour and reached 26,80, making overnight stays expensive. The area is generally quiet, with occasional pedestrians and city noise, and a public WC nearby.

Great site, very few spaces; nothing wider than a van will fit... AND: The UNIPARK app could not be downloaded from the Play Store because it is unavailable in Germany. Tough luck.
We personally find it too narrow for a camper. These are parking spaces for ordinary cars. There is a large parking area in front of the castle. Caravans are prohibited; we did not see a motorhome prohibition.
The €12.60 arrangement no longer seems to work. For us, the app simply counted €2 per hour and did not stop at €12.60. In the morning, we were at €26.80. Relatively expensive for an overnight stay, but good for visiting the beautiful old town.
Absolutely quiet place.
Relatively quiet place considering location in the city centre. Some traffic and groups of people walking past. We stayed thu-fri night. Unipark app says 2€/h but in reality it seems to charge 12.2€/24h.
We stayed here for about 20 hours via the UNIPARK app for €12.20 in a 6.40 m panel van. There is no indication that payment is only required here between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. For a city-center location, Saturday night was relatively quiet.
A very good parking area. Beer garden just around the corner. Free only from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. We had a quiet night. Recommended for one night.
Terrible place, I do not recommend it at all. Brats with their cars and music all night. You can see the town in 15 minutes; it is outrageously expensive.
This parking area is not signposted to indicate whether it requires payment 24/7 or, like the large parking area to the north, only from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On a Monday evening, this smaller one was noticeably quieter.
The location of this was great, right beside the castle and on the path for the park walks however quite narrow to turn into it. Updated the price as we paid through an app, €1.50 per hour now or €12 for 24hr. We had a restless night as many groups of people walked by and hung around up until 3am. Could have taken our chances with the bigger parking lot.
