Quiet parking, church bells

Perfect for a one night stopover whilst touring through. Peaceful, with a picnic bench and a beautiful sunset if you’re lucky.

Surprisingly large and surprisingly empty parking area. Good for a stroll around town. The road has little traffic.

A few men sat down right beside us and smoked weed. Late in the evening, another man came and complained that we were parked there, insulted us, and threatened to slash our tires. We drove somewhere else at 11 p.m. If things like that did not happen, it would be a nice place with a table and bench.

Perfectly adequate and quiet for one night. Bins available.

There is a bin at the picnic bench.

Perfect alternative to the rather expensive sites at Lake Altmühlsee. Of course, there is no waste disposal or other service. These are easily available at the Surf Center parking area at Lake Altmühlsee (Surf Center, toilets, motorhome disposal, etc.). But this place is perfect for a quiet, free night. The spot is very quiet at night. Very little traffic in the morning.

We stayed here for one night during the week while passing through. The place is very idyllic, but the seemingly quiet road in the evening became a noisy through road early in the morning. The church bells ring all night.

Good as a place to stay for one night. No toilets, but a bench and table for sitting. The village has shops and a petrol station.
