Camping de Saint-Julien-le-Montagnier

A shaded area that would certainly be pleasant without the noise from construction on the adjacent tennis courts, from 6 am to 9 pm on weekdays, including Saturday and Sunday mornings! Not to mention outsiders having free access to the sanitary facilities, coming to shower and hang around in the illuminated area after 10 pm. Please, municipality, ensure the campers’ peace and quiet.✦Translating

Really very good, shaded and quiet. Wide, level pitches. Excellent electricity. The sanitary facilities are old but functional and well maintained. Hot water! Waste-dumping and water-filling facilities. Really very good! Charcoal barbecue included.✦Translating

An area resembling an abandoned campsite. Many spaces. Not maintained: abandoned fire extinguishers in a corner, outdated sanitary facilities, etc. At our pitch, only one socket out of four works.✦Translating

Municipal campsite converted into a motorhome area that does the job. The sanitary facilities were closed, but as motorhome travellers we had everything we needed. Well located for visiting the old village, 30 minutes on foot. A school nearby, but quiet in the evening.✦Translating

Large, level, tree-lined pitches. A plus: sanitary facilities and showers, although old, which are appreciated. They do not operate in winter. Great place to spend a couple of nights. Quiet at the end of June, 15.86euros for 24hrs. The walk to the old village is recommended (there's a map by the toilets) great views and interesting medieval village. Croissants and baguettes from the boulangerie are good and there's a takeaway pizza place in the village.

Shaded campsite close to the center in June. Large trees provide welcome shade. I regret that the pitches are not marked out, which would make allocating spaces easier. The water flow is very low, 5.6 liters per minute, making filling up long and tedious. The electrical hookups can be far from the pitches, so bring two extension cables.✦Translating

The sanitary facilities are showing their age and should be refurbished, but there was hot water and everything was clean. One side has plenty of shade, the other almost none. Shopping is within walking distance, with an excellent butcher and bakery. There is also a small supermarket. A lovely starting point for bike rides. At weekends it can be quite noisy because of cars. We would happily return.✦Translating

Very, very peaceful, although this aire is out of the way. An extra star for the fully working showers, toilets and washing-up area in July 2024, which were very popular with everyone. Next to a small village with a shop, bar and bakery. The swimming pool had been demolished when we were there, possibly for a future attraction.✦Translating

Very pleasant aire in a former campsite, and shaded; we even stayed for two nights! The sanitary facilities and showers are adequate. There is a nice little bar, bakery, butcher, convenience store, and good large takeaway pizzas in the village, as well as a cooperative winery offering good rosé at an affordable price. Do not miss the walk to the old village.

Camping-Car Park area abandoned. The grass is 30 cm high, the toilets are very dirty, and there was practically nobody there. Avoid...

Excellent motorhome aire with spacious pitches in a former campsite, but be careful: it is no longer a campsite. The toilets, showers and sinks no longer work. A busy road runs at the end of the campsite, but it is not too noisy. Shops, bakery, butcher, small restaurant, and a winery where, after a good walk, you can enjoy very chilled wine with a 10% discount.

A lovely aire for motorhomes, quiet and accessible, with many electrical hookups. It is great out of season; we will see whether it is overcrowded in summer. A major advantage is the direct proximity to a nice little walk leading to the upper village, which is truly magnificent! On Saturday, November 25, water was available.
