Pfad zum Aussichtsturm, 49835, Wietmarschen
Been here?
A daytime parking area on grass beside a bird observatory and lookout tower, with views of the nature reserve and lake. It is next to an asphalt road and large enough for several vehicles. Use it to visit the moor, but camping behaviour is discouraged and visitors may be told to leave within ten minutes.

We had exactly the same experience of being sent away. He said, 'You will be gone in ten minutes or I will call the police.' When we drove away, he came back again.Translating
This parking area is beside a paved road and is large enough for several vehicles. Directly at the parking area there is a lookout tower with information about the moor. It was created for tourist purposes. I would not camp here, but parking to visit the moor is allowed and intended. If someone does not know that, it can be explained calmly.Translating
The view itself is very beautiful, just as described. The lookout tower is there too. Unfortunately, we were driven away by a very unfriendly, apparently overzealous local. His reason: we were standing in a nature reserve. So, everyone, do not come here. There is a very unfriendly, nasty, and forceful person here. Best wishes to all motorhome travelers.
