Quiet level site, limited stays

Very well-maintained area, clean and well-designed facilities. Local youths play on the sports field but remain far enough away, so there is no problem. The nights are quiet, although traffic resumes early in the morning. The spaces are in high demand.

A great place with spacious pitches. However, the town should charge a fee, because some motorhome owners settle in here because it is free. Others, who only need one night, are brusquely turned away, although in an emergency people could also share a space....

A motorhome area that meets all our expectations, with XL pitches and pleasant surroundings. It is a shame that water is not available in small quantities (10 or 20 liters), which would avoid waste. This area is close to a pleasant pedestrianized town center with many shops. There is a self-service laundromat in the Edeka parking lot 400 meters away. Thank you to this municipality :-)

Everything is great. Anyone who still wants a toilet, shower, or to stay indefinitely on the meadow should stay at home and not complain at such a high level. Unfortunately, some people do not adhere to the maximum five-day stay or return after a few days and then take over the place. But........... smiling usually helps.

A really nice motorhome pitch, everything you need is available: water and electricity are very inexpensive, and the rest is free. Everything is within walking distance, and Edeka is even open on Sundays, which is of course excellent.

Many thanks for this lovely area, with pitches bordered by hedges on one side (perfect for the dog), bins, free gray-water and toilet emptying, and €1 for 90 liters of water. Electricity is also available, but we did not use it. There is a small playground with a slide and sandbox, as well as a grassy field with soccer goals.

There was information posted in the information office and on the barrier. Closed because of the Easter bonfire, but reopening on Easter Sunday. One should read first and then comment. The nearby motorhome pitches still had plenty of free parking spaces....

This should be updated quickly....we were here too. CLOSED!!!!

I would have given five stars if there had been a toilet and shower. Great place, and free as well. Only water and electricity cost extra, but they are available. Everything is easy to reach.

Free motorhome pitch with free waste disposal. All pitches clearly marked and enough space at each one. Supermarket and restaurants within walking distance. Full quickly by early afternoon at the latest. Thanks to the town for providing the pitch.

New small site with clearly marked pitches and a specified distance from neighbors. Everyone has enough space to park here. One motorhome per pitch… Exemplary water and waste facilities. Unfortunately, we could not get a space; everything was full, but it is still a fantastic site. Thanks to the town of Wittmund. PS: It could easily be expanded. :-)

Excellent location! Very beautiful city.

Pleasant in autumn; in summer, group camping under Westphalia. If you like that. Wittmund is still a beautiful East Frisian small town.

All spaces occupied at 11:30! What a shame!

Arrived Sunday at 11 a.m. Two spaces still free. Everything was perfect!

Unfortunately, all 11 spaces were occupied. It would have been too noisy for me by the road anyway. Waste disposal was still possible. I drove on...

We were lucky to get a space. And this morning one space is free, perhaps not for long. There is a lovely bike ride starting next to the area. Of course, recommended. And no expansion planned, only 11 spaces.

Wittmund is a pleasant, clean small town. The motorhome site is one of the best. Still free. We had dinner at Restaurant La Vita, right next to the site. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Very friendly and attentive staff. In good weather, you can also sit outside in the beer garden. Wittmund remains recommendable.

Nice motorhome pitch, but unfortunately very popular; we could not get a space. However, we were able to dispose of our gray water and empty the toilet, which is something at least.

We got the last free space. It was very nice here, but one point deducted: when drawing water, we got only 60 liters instead of 90.

Unfortunately, I cannot give another point because I could not get a space. I would also have paid €5–8. I do not understand the lack of consideration shown by some fellow campers. In some cases, the gaps are so large that nobody else can fit between them, or tables and chairs are placed there. What a shame, I had to drive on.
