Via Giovanni Suppo, 10051, Avigliana
Been here?
Automated camper aire near the Avigliana lakes with all services on-site — water, grey/black dump, electricity, wifi and bins — accessed entirely via phone call and SMS/app. Entry can feel fiddly, especially without a smartphone or under Sunday phone-line lags, but staff (Tiziano) are widely praised as responsive. Cost is around €15-20/night, with electricity often billed separately. Generally quiet, level, camera-monitored, and a short walk from the lakes and old town, though no showers and payment is card/app only, no cash.

Perfect for one night. To reach the Church of San Michele, the easiest route with an 8-metre motorhome is via Giaveno and then Valgioie, after which you park 2 km from San Michele. Continue on foot; it is mostly downhill on the way there and uphill on the return.
Motorhome area, quiet and with services, €15 per night, suitable for large motorhomes. Some difficulty getting out, but the telephone assistance was very friendly and effective in helping us leave. I highly recommend it.
Very convenient motorhome area; everything is automatic, with no staff on site. Electricity, grey-water drainage, fresh-water filling and separate recycling bins are available.
Fully automated area for entry, exit and electricity. All services working, with recycling bins for every category. Convenient for visiting the town and lakes or cycling along the Via Francigena.
Lovely aire with large spaces and excellent services, also recycling and rubbish bins,no problems for big vans.Easy walk to the lakes or up to a lovely town. Totally recommend cafe Brodo di Giuggiole in the old town, the focaccia was superb. You have to sign up on Sostina.com to access the aire and enter personal details etc which takes a few minutes but once you're registered it's an easy process.
We stopped on Sunday afternoon only to use the clean and functioning motorhome service point. The area is flat, with 11 large spaces near the lake. The access and payment system is convenient: just dial a number and follow the instructions in an SMS. The only nearby bar open, above the sailing centre on the lake, refused to serve us coffee and seemed particularly hostile towards motorhome users.
Good, clean and quiet motorhome area, excellent for touring the Avigliana lakes. The old village is also worth a visit! Paid €15 for 24 hours; everything is automated and payment is online only.
For €15 it could be better maintained. Also, a less complicated payment method would be useful. If someone is not comfortable using a mobile phone, they have to give up on parking. I do not think this system is a European model, since I have never encountered it in France or Spain.
€15 parking fee: not exactly cheap. Indecent dumping area; unfortunately, I could not document it with a photo. The payment method is extremely baroque; I have never seen anything so complicated.
More than decent motorhome area, with an efficient and intuitive payment system, better than in other places. The only drawback is payment by card or Satispay only, with no PayPal or cash. Recycling bins are available. Good filling and dumping area. Normal price (€0.62 per hour plus €0.80 per kWh). Quiet area, good sleeping. The town’s historic centre deserves a quick visit.
Excellent area for visiting the lakes and historic centre on foot, and a happy discovery of a trattoria where the food was also excellent: Trattoria Nonnare.
Safe place to enjoy the lake; the motorhome area has video surveillance. Automated entry and exit and an excellent filling/dumping pitch. Electricity hook-ups and picnic tables. Rubbish bins available. Fair prices depending on your needs: filling/dumping only, simple parking, or use of the electricity hook-ups.
Nothing particular to criticise. The entry system must be followed to the letter, but it is interesting: one number to enter and another to exit. Close to the lake, but as everywhere, there are many private-access areas.
Secure area near the lakes. Hiking trail. Ten minutes by bicycle from the station, and 20 minutes to central Turin.
Convenient parking, isolated from the noise of the roads, so you sleep peacefully. Video surveillance, car parking next door, rubbish bins, water filling/dumping area, electricity hook-ups at an extra cost, and picnic tables. Not far from the lake.
Spent a quiet night. You must follow the entry instructions carefully; they may seem a little complicated at first. Very clean, a good stopover.
A superb, well-located area. Easy access. The camera records the registration plate. Call the number on the sign. Do not forget to dial 0039 followed by the telephone number. The barrier opens and you receive an internet link on your phone. Choose the duration and whether you want electricity. Very pleasant area with all services. Close to the station by bicycle for travelling to Turin. The shopkeepers are friendly and there is a market on Thursdays.
Clean and well-organised area. Automated and very intuitive entrance. You enter by dialling a telephone number near the barrier. Electricity is metered, with smart activation and monitoring. Excellent!
We slept there for one night. Very pleasant, well-maintained area, excellent online payment. The owner helped us with check-in anyway and gave us some tips about the area. Very kind and helpful. Highly recommended.
We arrived at 18:00 and there was still space. As described. Clean, and €3.50 for electricity is reasonable. The beach is decent and dogs are allowed. We walked into the town centre for dinner.
The parking area is perfect and paved. Close to the station for regional trains and visits to Turin; bicycles can be taken on the train. Emptying and refilling water were perfect. We did not need electricity, but it is automated. The only drawback is the fully automated access, which in my opinion is not intuitive enough. Two other motorhomes in front of us gave up because it was too complicated to open the barrier.
Good area for spending one night. I had not received the registration SMS at the entrance and contacted the assistance number. Tiziano, very friendly, resent it via WhatsApp. Quiet area with services available. Visit the old town, and if you are looking for a good restaurant, there is one at number 27 Via Umberto.
Very good place to stay for one or several nights. Booking on site is somewhat tedious, but it is quiet, very clean and all services are available. We stopped for one night and slept very well.
Perfect location, excellent organisation with online entry and payment.
Very good place, very quiet, although the entrance may seem complicated. You just need to approach the barrier sufficiently and then call the number, but unfortunately there are no instructions. It also says there are toilets, but there are not. There are mosquitoes too, but that is not surprising since it is by a lake. Apart from that, the place is very good.
Fully automated area with all services except toilets. To open the barrier, dial a number; for payment and activating electricity, follow the procedure in the link sent by SMS. It may be a little difficult for people who are not very tech-savvy, but the manager is extremely kind and solves any problems. Highly recommended.
Excellent quiet and orderly area. Payment and booking through the app, which also enables electricity supply and consumption monitoring. You can leave and return with the motorhome while retaining your pitch.
Perfect, everything is available. First-time visitors should drive close to the barrier and then dial the telephone number.
Quiet place with an available manager. Excellent location for spending a couple of days, and booking is very simple.
Nice, clean and well-maintained area in a quiet location. The only drawback, worth one star, is that online payment is complicated; something simpler would be appropriate.
