Daytime parking, construction containers

Overnighting in the open bay is currently not possible because construction containers have been put up. We are moving on.

This car park is in a low-emission zone; you must be registered with the city of Malaga. We could not park there. In addition, during the day the car park is reserved for castle visitors.

Great parking for €1.20 per day to explore Málaga. Paid from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. On the way down there is a viewpoint offering a good overview of the city. Friendly parking attendant, bins and toilets available.

Amazing view and you can visit the adjacent castle! There really aren't many parking spaces… We were there during the week just before Easter and it was very full. Fortunately, we still managed to get a space. The city is reached via a steep path, about 20–25 minutes downhill. It was fine for us, as we were rewarded with beautiful views along the way.

You may park here from 9 a.m. Regarding the environmental zone, I found the following information: Non-Spanish vehicles cannot currently obtain a DGT sticker, as the German ADAC also reports on its website. According to the ADAC, the German green environmental sticker is generally sufficient for German vehicles.

We stayed here at the beginning of January. Everything was perfect. Very beautiful and quiet. You can go for lovely walks. The route into the city follows the castle and is enjoyable, with great views over the city day and night.

Pay attention to the environmental zone! It cannot be entered by all vehicles.

Fantastic spot. No dirt spots available around 2pm when we arrived, so we parked in the asphalt carpark and walked into the city. Plenty of dirt spots free when we returned around 9pm. Slight tilt but didn’t bother us. Spent a quiet night. Stunning views a short stroll away, and perfect for exploring the castle.

Good place to visit the city; bus 35 is right nearby and takes you directly to the center. Not very quiet at night due to constant traffic of cars and people. In the morning, tourist buses arrive and park on the nearby paved area. Overnight stays are prohibited there, so campers must park on the unpaved section, which has 5–6 spaces.

Very nice place to sleep. Beautiful view of the city! Local young people probably gather there and drink, but they did not disturb us. Unfortunately, there is litter. Please do not leave rubbish behind! A short distance below the sleeping area there is a view of the sea—beautiful.

Small free car park with few spaces, but we were lucky and found a spot immediately. We did not encounter any guards. The center can be reached in 20 minutes on foot via a panoramic walk, all downhill, or, recommended for the return journey, bus 35 stops exactly opposite the car park. Buy the ticket on board (no cash).

It was completely full and also sloping

Beautiful spot in principle, but very few spaces. We just made a round trip because it is full! 1 p.m. on 31/08/24

When we arrived, only one space remained for our 6.60 m motorhome in the dirt area. Overnight parking is prohibited in the paved car park. Although we did not stay overnight, it is a good place to visit the city on foot, with beautiful views. Wear comfortable shoes because the Castle slope is quite slippery. ACT NOW.

A nice place when everyone leaves after the castle closes. stayed 2 nights. Make sure you park on the dirt plot and pay attention to the "no one except buses" sign. There are some giant buses that use this space overnight. Don't make their life harder. 4/5 because at night there's always kids listening to music. But let them live their life and you are fine.

Excellent for visiting Malaga, but the number of spaces is limited (5); only one space remained when I arrived.

If you get a space, highly recommended. Best to come late in the evening; quiet at night.

You can indeed park here as shown in the photos; the rest is for buses and taxis. We were here on a Thursday at 9:20 and found a space, but by 9:30 it was completely full, mainly with regular cars, so come early. There is room for approximately 6–8 vehicles.

The car park is well located and relatively quiet. We spent the night in the dirt area with several motorhomes, but in the morning the local police sent us away. Some noise at night from young people who come up and play music.

Great for visiting Málaga. Leave on time because many buses arrive in the morning and they do not want campers there!

Perfect car park for visiting the city, only a 20-minute walk along the castle walls! I think it is quiet for sleeping, but the attendant advised against it, although he said it is allowed. The cost is €1 for the whole day!

We slept here for one night; it is free. Use the 4–5 unpaved spaces. Next to the castle. No view. Hidden from sight. A snack bar is open during the day, otherwise no services. Quite a lot of traffic even after the castle closes: walkers, young people, athletes… The buses arrive around 10 a.m. It is a 15-minute walk downhill to the cathedral and 30 minutes back up.

Please do not park in the car park, as it is reserved for the many coaches that arrive in the morning. Park as shown in the photo. Otherwise, eventually this car park will simply be prohibited. Quiet at night, not during the day.

An ideal place to spend both the day and the night. Wonderful views, close to the center, and you can take a taxi up for less than €8 or a bus until 8:30 p.m.
