Free blue-zone parking near Ascona centre, quiet and car-free of through traffic, popular mainly with cars. Bicycles reach the promenade and downtown quickly. Max stay is 4 hours and overnight parking is not permitted here — police have moved on campers who tried, as it applies across the Ascona/Brissago area, unlike nearby Locarno.

The parking area is easy to find, on a quiet street without through traffic. It is mainly used by cars; we were lucky to find a space. By bicycle, you can quickly reach the promenade and city center.
Very beautiful place, but overnight stays are not allowed. The police kindly pointed this out to us in the morning. Apparently, overnight stays in public parking areas in Ascona and Brissago are not allowed, unlike in Locarno.
