Barber Booth Road, S33 7ZL, Edale
Been here?
A rural farm campsite with grass pitches, suitable for tents and smaller vehicles up to about 6 meters. Toilets, showers and water are available, but phone reception is virtually absent and fires are not allowed. The site is close to Edale walks, within easy walking distance of Edale and a few miles from Castleton. A narrow bridge and small entrance make it unsuitable for bigger vans or caravans, although another road gate is available.

Stayed for one night last night. Recently opened for the season. No complaints here! Simple facilities - shower/toilets/water. Virtually no phone reception. Close to some big Edale walks. NO FIRES however. Not far from train tracks but didn't disturb me. Great price. Would use again!
Rural, quiet site, grass pitches, lovely welcome, basic but adequate facilities. Not really suitable for bigger vans or caravans due to small field entrance. Easy walking distance to Edale and a few miles further to Castleton. Ideal location for Peak District hikes. It was a one night stop for me this time but I'd love to return to get the Kinder Scout/Mam Tor circular route under my boots.
