Carrer Solei, 17455, Caldes de Malavella
Been here?
This free area has 5 pitches near the centre, with potable water, grey- and black-water disposal, and electricity. It is currently open, but the electricity outlets can be far away, with only 4 outlets for 5 pitches. The area is between roads and beside a busy factory, so daytime and nighttime traffic noise can occur. Pigeon droppings under the trees are a persistent problem, while a supermarket is 5min away.

Arrived late afternoon, it’s open. Five pitches, electricity is a good distance away. Some noise from the road but a good facility provided. No charges for potable water, waste water drain and toilet cassette emptying. There are bollards and chains that can be used to limit access but one of the other motorhome users said they were only used by the council if there was an event on nearby. Thanks
Not a particularly idyllic place between two roads, with a busy factory next to it. The village itself is also unattractive. If you are looking for a practical motorhome pitch, this is the right place.Translating
The site has reopened, but the pictures are misleading. Directly opposite is a business where trucks operate until late at night. On the other side there is a main road. Between them is this site, where people walk their dogs and dog mess is scattered everywhere.Translating
Hello, I am recharging my battery after emptying the tanks and filling up with water. It is open and free. Excellent, thank you. Four stars because of the pigeons!Translating
Hello fellow motorhome travelers, this pleasant little area in Caldes is unfortunately closed. We have just been turned away. The police have put up barrier tape to prohibit access. A shame, the place was quite good.Translating
We stayed for two nights (27/03–28/03), and everything went well. A 9-metre motorhome fits. Everything is free: electricity, water, and dumping facilities. The downside is that there are quite a lot of droppings under the trees, and they shade the solar panels. Four electrical outlets, so you need a long cable for the farthest spaces.Translating
The place is close to the center, with connections and gray- and black-water disposal. There is a supermarket five minutes away and the ground is level. The road is nearby and the lights are very bright at night. Our power cable was stolen, and early in the morning a 15-metre pine tree nearly fell on us because of the wind. We were having breakfast and had to run out.Translating
Water refill and waste disposal work. Many thanks to the municipality. We felt safe.Translating
The area has reopened; everything is working as it should.Translating
Area temporarily closed due to a fallen tree.Translating
Good place for visiting the town. Noise during the day. The electrical connection for four vehicles is about 50 metres away. The water and other services could be improved for a better visit.Translating
Nice and quite spot, a few locals parking their cars nearby but otherwise great. The main spots were full but we found on a little down the hill. It was not very flat so you'll need blocks to help level your van out. Try and avoid parking under the trees, you'll thank me when your van isn't covered in poop in the morning...
Excellent free, quiet area, but you need to arrive early because there are only five spaces. Thanks to the municipality for this area.Translating
Well located for the day, convenient for dumping and electricity, although we used neither. But certainly not for overnight stays: very noisy beside a busy road and a railway. I strongly advise against it.Translating
This area owes its good ratings only to the free services. That is not insignificant, but it remains a saturated place; arriving in the evening, we parked wherever we could. I think some vehicles were being left there long-term. It is very noisy and our vehicle was bombarded with bird droppings. Four stars anyway because the facilities are provided and it is genuinely useful. Thank you to the town.Translating
2 October 2025. Perfect place for one night while passing through. All services are free, including electricity. A little noisy because of the nearby road. The town is quite interesting, with its thermal waters and Art Nouveau houses. Thanks to the municipality.Translating
Great little parkup. Five of us here tonight. Grey and black waste and water. Electric is free and there are 4 outlets, however need a 100m power lead if you are in the lower 3 spaces!! Bird poo in abundance but hey - it’s free parking. We’ve been here before but we’re unable to park, so just used the services. Quiet and safe location and short trip to local facilities. Would highly recommend.
Thank you to the town for providing a free motorhome area; as a bonus, free water and electricity, which is rare. There is a small supermarket nearby. Pleasant town.Translating
Very good place, peaceful, with working services and free electricity. A little noisy because it is close to the road, but it becomes quieter at night. At night there is a very nice food truck, a bakery next door, and the thermal springs. Good Movistar 5G for working.Translating
The spaces are quite large and shaded. Quiet at night.Translating
Very small area between the main road and the access lane. It is barely practical for a van or motorhome because cars are parked along the lane on the right. Packed, with some vehicles even parked lengthwise several deep, and caravans as well. It is ridiculous. Even the wastewater dumping area is occupied. An unnecessary detour for electricity.Translating
The spaces are occupied by Spanish visitors who stay for long periods because the services are free; there is no control over long stays.Translating
We stopped for one night while passing through; a quiet and safe place to sleep. It has water and shade, and there were portable toilets in the park. The bins had rubbish outside, so we removed one star. It is close to the center because it is a small town, so we took the opportunity to have dinner at a local bar. Thanks to Caldes de Malavella for this place!Translating
Area on the street, noisy, and the birds cover your van in droppings. Three hundred metres away there is another paid area that is a thousand times better, called Area Camper Caldes de Malavella. They are very friendly.
It is exceptional to still find places where water and electricity are free, and for up to three days. Visiting the town and its Roman baths is pleasant. Yes, it is near the road, but it is a nice stop to take a break, recharge the batteries, and fill up with water while enjoying the surrounding countryside before reaching the beaches.
Well-designed pitches, services are fine, but it is quite noisy—delivery trucks, road traffic, and currently preparations for a beer festival on 17/05/2025. I think the site should be avoided that day. :)
Five spaces but four electrical outlets. However, it is beside the road and a water factory, so quite noisy. The positive point is that the services are free and the area is close to the town center.
It is an area near the road, but it has all the services—gray- and black-water disposal and electricity—as well as a couple of picnic tables. The problem is the bird droppings, but it is peaceful and pleasant.
All services work correctly. It is a shame there are only four electrical outlets for five pitches. Under the trees, the risk of receiving a pile of bird droppings is very high. Apart from that, a five-star area.
Very well located, with everything you need. Thanks to the municipality. There are several places to visit: Roman baths, hot-water springs, early-20th-century modernist houses, a small bar, and more. This is the town of Vichy Catalan; it is interesting to know where this mineral water comes from.
We could not use the pitches because they were occupied, but there is some extra parking at the entrance where we stayed very comfortably. The spaces under the pine trees have free electricity. The water-dumping and filling area is very accessible.
Wonderful. Nice little town, a bit expensive because it is touristy, but within two steps you have a pharmacy, pizzeria with an Italian pizza maker, pastry shop, supermarket, dog area, and everything else, in addition to free services including electricity. Thanks to the municipality for this space.
Very beautiful village with all the services you really need. The motorhome area is noisy, but all necessary services are free. Watch out for bird droppings and those of other birds; you will probably leave with a little souvenir.
Nice spot; visit the thermal baths. Limited to three days. The civil guard monitors it.
Excellent overnight park up. All services including electric were free. Electric stayed on all day and night. One other motorhome there. 5 spaces but 4 electric points which are near the water services. Nice town with Roman baths dating back to 50AD, plus other interesting places. Would stop again, thanks
This is not a motorhome parking area; the same motorhome is always there, with a motorcycle vinyl at the back, occupying a space that does not belong to it.
I spent two peaceful nights here and am very satisfied. - - Many thanks to the municipality - - The electricity was switched off today. Anyone who is sensitive should avoid coming because of the dog mess and bird droppings that cover your vehicle.
