2 Chemin des Terres Noires, 44730, Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef
Been here?
Small beachfront campsite near Saint-Michel-Chef-Chef, with the sea and fishing about 30 metres away and sandy beaches nearby. Pitches are shaded but may be small, sloping or difficult for large motorhomes because of narrow, sometimes dead-end lanes. Sanitary facilities are generally clean, with laundry machines, a pool, snack bar and friendly reception reported recently. Filling the water tank and emptying are prohibited on site, and services must be accessed elsewhere.

Nice little campsite facing the sea, with a rocky shoreline and beautiful sandy beaches nearby. The town center lacks seaside shops and entertainment. However, be sure to specify the details of your equipment, otherwise you may end up on a pitch that is too small for your motorhome.
I stopped to ask for information. The person at reception was on the phone and handed me a brochure. When I read it, I realized that filling the water tank and emptying waste were forbidden on site, and that we had to leave the campsite to use an external service area. Given the price and services, I left.
Pleasant little campsite, well located by the sea (without a view). Be careful with large vehicles: the lanes are narrow and sometimes dead ends. If you have a small vehicle, you get a small pitch. €15 for a van with one person. The pool was still open. Good pizzas and fries at the snack bar by the entrance.
Very pleasant welcome (thank you, Cécile), fairly large pitches, slightly sloping. By the sea. Very clean sanitary facilities and a very practical laundry room (two washing machines and two dryers, all effective).
Unfriendly welcome. The price requested with a small dog was €25, although the website says €19. The pool was closed. After one night we left for another campsite that was much more spacious, with a large heated and covered pool, many showers, and all that for €14.
Unfriendly welcome. The washing-up sink was very dirty, and the sanitary facilities were not very clean. The showers in particular were in poor condition. It was very noisy at night. The location is great, but we would not go there again.
Very pleasant campsite, friendly welcome, pitches just the right size and well defined, sanitary facilities with nothing to complain about, clean washing-up area, all close to the sea—ideal for fishing and walking along the seafront. Oh, I almost forgot: a heated pool. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend this campsite.
Friendly campsite, very welcoming staff, spacious motorhome pitches, clean sanitary facilities, well-equipped washing-up area, excellent washing machine and dryer, enjoyable activities—we had a great laugh—and access to the sea is really only 20 meters away.
I wondered whether we were even at a campsite. I could not give zero stars. The sanitary facilities were extremely dirty and not maintained at all! If you want peace and quiet, that is not possible here. The price is outrageous for a pitch in full sun with no shade! The lane is very narrow and turning around is extremely difficult. I wonder where their stars come from.
We left after a few hours and went to a camping ground around the corner. Only mobile homes and our space was far to small for our camper van. Also not easy to access with a camper van, the streets are far to narrow and our camper now has some scratches.
We contacted the campsite on Saturday to ask about availability, but they did not have time to answer us. They were supposed to call us back within 15 minutes; it is now Monday and we are still waiting. Not serious.
