Been here?
A two-storey parking area beside the start of the Monte Capanne hike, suitable for small vehicles up to 5 metres. It is free and has no services or bins, while the parking can become very crowded and tight. The village bar and its views are 3 minutes away on foot, and the upper level is exposed to falling rocks.

Perfect for spending the night. Suitable for small vehicles, maximum 5 metres. The view from the village bar is beautiful, just a 3-minute walk from the parking area.
Basically a good parking area for spending the night. No services, not even a rubbish bin. The photo must have been taken in winter; when we were there it was overflowing and therefore really cramped, which did not stop the other drivers from driving very fast around the parking area. The night was also rather restless. Cars were still arriving and leaving during the night. Impossible for larger motorhomes to park there!
We wanted to spend the night here at the end of August and start the hike to Monte Capanne the next day, but unfortunately the parking area was completely full and also very narrow. Four stars because one or two bends further down we found an almost empty, level parking area where we spent the night. A few cars drove past in the evening; otherwise it was shady and good for one night!
Parking that can accommodate 2 or 3 motorhomes up to 6 m plus 2 bicycles. In low season, you may find a space. Beautiful view towards Marciana Marina.
Parking suitable for vans no longer than 6 m. At this time of year, you will find shade in the late afternoon. At the end of the bend there is a lay-by with a dry-stone wall and rock above it—the only shaded spot—but it fits just one van at a time. The parking spaces towards the village are paid blue-marked spaces or reserved for locals.
Beautiful view. The town centre is 200 m away. Nevertheless, the parking area is positioned so that no residents are directly disturbed. The spaces allow a length of about 5.5 m. The upper level is at risk of falling rocks.
