66 Avenue des Casseaux, 87000, Limoges
Been here?
A riverside parking area suitable for vans and small campers for one or two nights, with several spaces and a nearby walking and cycling path along the Vienne. It is generally quiet overnight, though traffic on the nearby road, local runners, dogs and occasional loud music may occur. There are no services, but a bin and picnic table are available. Access is restricted by a low barrier and a 3.8m bridge, with the entrance too narrow for normal motorhomes.

I stopped there to rest for a while, but very quickly a car arrived with its front doors open and loud music playing. I preferred to leave. A shame, because although the area is not great, the Vienne river was right next to it with a path for walking.
We had a good night. Relatively quiet. Nice place beside the Vienne. A rubbish bin is available. Quite a few spaces. In the morning there were a few runners and dogs. I recommend it.
It is not a dream location, but it is perfect for an overnight stop. No services. Very quiet despite a nearby, fairly busy road, slightly elevated above it. I slept well. A small cycle path runs along the Vienne for morning and evening walks. A picnic table is available. A supermarket and service station are very close for shopping and refuelling.
We slept good for one night here. Popular for locals in bbq season, but everyone disappeared at night. Nice park by the river, no services
Parking with shade and plenty of space. At the end of July, there were not too many people early in the morning. Walk along the Vienne towards the town centre. The very busy road beside it does not really disturb the area.
Dirty place: broken glass covering the ground and overflowing rubbish bins all around the car park. We tried to sleep there because it was empty, but quickly realised we could not. A car parked right behind us with the music at full volume, even though the car park was empty, apparently deliberately. Several people got out; it must have been an after-party. In short, we left without hesitation.
You pass under the bridge, but the barrier is too narrow for a normal motorhome; only vans can get through.
Low barrier exists although it was open when we arrived. Access is around the large supermarket and under a 3.8m bridge. The area seemed secluded but not as safe as we would have liked and so chose to move on.
Great little place to stay. There is a water point for filling bottles by the skatepark, just a 2–3 minute walk up the river towards town. A few people have played loud music from cars at weekends, but during the week it is pretty quiet.
