Riverside gorge access, generator noise

Actually a dreamlike spot. We were parked directly by the stream. Unfortunately, apparently a new snack bar has opened in the parking area, and a generator rattles all day. Very sad; it ruins quite a lot.

Nice place for a short stopover, perhaps even overnight, although the access from the motorway is not obvious (you have to wind through side roads a bit). From the parking area there are three routes of varying difficulty (the one along the river is not necessarily suitable for small children; at one point you have to hold onto chains by the rocks).

Fantastic place for one night if you are continuing your journey; two nights if you want to explore the gorge. Beautiful and peaceful, with a good access road. From afternoon until morning, we were completely alone. Tourists heading to the gorge only appeared in the morning, and there were relatively few. Right beside a clean stream, with a rubbish bin very close by. Beautiful surroundings!

We had a very quiet night in beautiful surroundings, right next to a small river at the foot of the gorge. A calm livestock guardian dog came by to check on us from time to time.

Easy access for all types of vehicles. Right next to the beautiful Turda Gorge (free at this time of year), a quiet place perfect for one or more nights. Two dogs on site. One growled at us, but not at our female dog, so be cautious just in case.

We spent a really beautiful and peaceful night. Be careful: there are many deep ruts in the path where you can get stuck. Late in the evening, a group came to climb; in the morning, many visitors to the gorge arrive, but everyone is friendly. This is also the best starting point for the gorge. The wild dog here is very friendly.

Quiet place, large enough that nobody disturbs anyone else, with direct access to the out-and-back route through Turda Gorge. Very easy access.

Very good place to spend the night before visiting the gorge. Even though it rained all night, park close to the rubbish bins and you will stay dry; a 7.5 m camper managed fine.

Very quiet place to begin the route to the gorge. You sleep very well, although there is no shade if you want shelter during the day. There is not much water flowing in the river. Overall, it is a good place. We had a great time!

What a beautiful spot! We drove a little farther across the unpaved parking area to the grassy field by the water. Superb view of the canyon! We spent two peaceful nights here and enjoyed beautiful walks in the area.

Perfect, peaceful place with a beautiful view of the canyon entrance. Easily accessible with a 7 m campervan. Only the final section is along a gravel road.

We spent here two amazing days, alongside with other campers. It was peaceful, with an amazing view. The nearby camping owner was friendly with us.

A beautiful, slightly uneven place with stunning views. It’s busy during the day but peaceful at night. There are still some big street dogs. They are curious but friendly, and we haven't had any issues with them.

The place is very beautiful. Good footwear is necessary for hiking in the gorge; some of the stones are very slippery. We spent one night here and felt safe.

Wonderful place for a longer stay, with no services except rubbish bins. Stray dogs are peaceful. Even on a Tuesday evening in September it was fairly busy, but there was enough room for everyone. We would definitely return. Please take your rubbish with you. Thank you!

Lots of parking space, easy access, food truck operating from the morning. On a Sunday in August it was crowded from early morning, but quiet at night.

A place with a beautiful view of the gorge entrance from the less popular side. Plenty of space, access to the stream and a rubbish bin. In the morning, a food truck arrived offering coffee, langos and cold drinks. The only drawback is the lack of shade.

Less popular starting point to the gorge. A lot of space on the meadow next to the river. Well recommended.

One of the best spots we’ve ever encountered. The other side of the Cheile Turzii was fully packed with people and cars but this spot was almost empty. At 8:30PM we were alone with the beautiful view. No services and no shade but we were first on the trail in the morning and completed it meeting only few tourists.

A place with a beautiful view! We stayed for two nights. Three large homeless but friendly dogs, and a rubbish bin. The trail through the gorge starts directly from here.
