Rue de la Jonction, 58000, Nevers
Been here?
3-star camping on Loire riverbank with views of Nevers cathedral and historic center. Terraced plots: upper section shaded, lower riverside spots can be stifling in heat on sunny days. €37/night typical. Staff friendly but reception unreliable about availability. Major issue: Saturday disco music from nearby until 2am, preventing sleep. Toilets clean, showers good. Overnight break-ins reported.

What a lovely place to stay, the staff were lovely and helpful, we had a disaster when a storm came from nowhere and literally, tore our fiamma of the van. They moved us to a shady spot. Toilets and showers were ok clean enough but wore flip flops in shower. The walk over to the city was lovely we found a lovely pizzeria and had a lovely meal. Would definitely recommend it and would come back.
Friendly welcome, but very expensive: €37 for a spot exposed to the sun. A small discount would be welcome. The pitch is long but narrow; we could not fully extend the awning. There is music coming from Nevers Plage, but it is not loud enough to disturb us. Convenient for visiting Nevers, as you only have to cross the bridge.Translating
The site is beautifully located on the Loire, and the sanitary facilities are fine. However, it is very annoying that the lady at reception does not take the truth very seriously. We wanted a shady pitch, which apparently was not possible because of reservations. Interestingly, the supposedly reserved pitches stood empty overnight. We cannot recommend the site—there is a shadier motorhome area next door!Translating
Great campsite with shaded pitches for motorhomes. Clean toilets. Loud disco music until 2 a.m. on Saturday night, so we could not sleep. The owner and police did nothing.Translating
Good value-for-money campsite. Often full on weekends. Note that there is no shade on the part along the Allier. Nice view of Nevers and its cathedral, a 20-minute walk away. Warm welcome.Translating
A lovely campsite with large pitches, good facilities, and a beautiful view of Nevers. Friendly staff.Translating
Friendly welcome, beautiful view of the city, which is not far away. I recommend it.Translating
Rock-paper-scissors. Difficult to park in front of the barrier while waiting to register. Quiet campsite with a lovely view of the city. Shaded terraced pitches for motorhomes, except down by the river, where we stayed; during hot weather it was stifling. The manager was friendly, but it was a shame we were not well settled. Reservations are not possible.Translating
Superb view of Nevers Cathedral and the Ducal Palace. Trees cover the upper half and protect you from the sun. Boules area and a small convenience shop selling drinks and wine. I recommend closing the front of your motorhome, as they were broken into during the night we stayed.Translating
Lovely place with a magnificent view. The field down by the river stays sunny until late in good weather. Sanitary facilities are a little dated, but the showers are wonderful.Translating
We arrived shortly after noon; several motorhomes were already on the narrow access road. Opening is not until 2 p.m., so we drove on. This is unacceptable.Translating
Excellent campsite at the foot of the city.Translating
A grand welcome, with the receptionist, Stephanie, doing everything possible to assign me a pitch with good satellite reception, shade, and proximity to the sanitary facilities. As a solo traveler, you need entertainment on long evenings. So much kindness... magnificent!Translating
Beautiful campsite near the city of Nevers and the cycle paths. Magnificent walks along the canals. The sanitary facilities and campsite in general are impeccably clean. Friendly team.Translating
Very friendly and helpful. The value for money is definitely right. Sanitary facilities are extremely clean. Direct access to the cycle path, absolutely perfect. Highly recommended.Translating
Very friendly, welcoming staff, pleasant campsite, close to the center, very clean sanitary facilities, and beautiful pitches. I recommend it.Translating
Excellent welcome, very friendly staff. Located on the Loire in the middle of the city. It is primarily a stopover area for motorhomes and vans where everyone shuts themselves in at night. No pitch separation and no outdoor privacy. Good after a wild trip to rediscover all the sounds of the city from your roof! If you like a cool VanLife experience surrounded by the sounds of nature, skip this place.Translating
Very friendly staff, inexpensive (€16 for one motorhome and one person without electricity, just under €22 with electricity), great location opposite the city, BUT cut grass is left lying on the pitches and some toilets are out of service. We will return, as it is ideal for a stopover when driving south on the toll-free A75, as far as Béziers!Translating
Very well located, very good welcome, very clean sanitary facilities. I recommend it.Translating
Simple but perfect campsite. On the riverbank. No Wi-Fi. Showers, toilets, and gray-water disposal. Five minutes from the town across the bridge. Quiet night with views. Everything perfect and reasonably priced (€20 with electricity).Translating
The people on site are very friendly and accommodating. Clean sanitary facilities. The upper pitch, although slightly sloped, is very good.Translating
We were delighted by the lovely and very humorous lady at check-in. Very clean sanitary facilities and hot water even in the evening. Great pitch directly beside the river.
We stayed here for two nights! Super-friendly welcome. The pitch is very close to the beautiful city. A dream for dog owners and cyclists. Great walking paths! Very clean, warm sanitary facilities. We can only recommend it!
Beautiful campsite, heated and very clean sanitary facilities. Very pleasant welcome; the barrier can be opened outside the scheduled hours, allowing you to settle in. There were many motorhome travelers for the season. It is a shame it is closed in winter, as this is a beautiful city to discover.
Stopover campsite. Good welcome. Along the Loire with a view of Nevers. Clean sanitary facilities. Assigned pitches, but if possible choose the upper ones, which are larger and somewhat separated by trees, though slightly sloped. The lower pitches are small, not separated, treeless, and packed together; this is a motorhome area rather than a campsite. Trailers cost extra.
Perfect welcome—smiles and efficiency. Campsite and sanitary facilities very clean. Thank you.
