9 Rue de la Vallée, 14100, Lisieux
Been here?
This two-star campsite, recently under new management, sits 1.5km from Lisieux town centre among old shade trees. Pitches are large, delimited by hedges, with water and electricity hookups. Reception opens 9am–12pm and 4pm–7pm; a caretaker is on-site 24/7. Quiet at night but noisy mornings from adjacent roads. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Warm welcome from the young woman and young man. You can choose your pitch. Quiet in the evening and at night. Shaded pitches. Carrefour City is 5 minutes away by car for a small supply run if you arrive on a Sunday. Noisy in the morning because it is between two roads and near a vehicle inspection center. Good for one overnight stop.
A small, unpretentious campsite, perfect for one night... inexpensive and clean.
Campsite with old shade-providing trees; very friendly operator couple; we were allowed to choose our own pitch; fresh water and electricity at the pitches. The sanitary facilities are basic, outdated, and not maintained. Its location between two roads means it is very noisy during the day, but it is okay at night. I wish them both continued success. Fifteen minutes by bicycle to the town.
My congratulations to these two young people who do their utmost, and do it well, to make our stay excellent—and it was! Decent pitch, although the ground is hard for hammering in tent pegs. The sanitary facilities are clean and the shower was pleasant. They should just install a rinsing system for chemical toilets. Keep it up! We will return. Stay from July 13 to 15.
Friendly welcome from girl who spoke good English. You can pick your pitch. Good sized shady pitches, very quiet we slept well. Shower block old but clean, temperature hit & miss - hot then cold, then hot! Seemed to have new toilets. No water for rinsing toilet cassette. We booked online which was very easy paid €20, 1 night with EHU, 2 people + 7m motorhome. Stayed 13/07/26. Would return.
During the heatwave, this campsite is excellent because it is very shady. The pitches are well defined and spacious. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The facilities are clean. In my opinion, the sanitary facilities need improvement: better water pressure in the showers and a water supply at the chemical-toilet disposal point for rinsing.
Very practical campsite for visiting Lisieux, with a shuttle stopping in front of the campsite. Spacious pitches separated by hedges. Very well-maintained grounds. Friendly welcome.
What can I say? Everything was excellent: the welcome, the pitches, and the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities. The managers are helpful, cheerful, and available. In short, a campsite to recommend without hesitation.
This campsite is now managed by an external company. Clean sanitary facilities and well-maintained grounds. The couple managing the site are friendly and attentive. One drawback that reduces the rating: traveling people were parked opposite the entrance, at least during our stay. Not really troublesome, but noticeable on arrival. No dedicated campsite service station, only black-water disposal.
Pretty campsite with old shade-providing trees; very friendly and helpful operator couple; we were allowed to choose our own pitch; fresh water and electricity at the pitches. The sanitary facilities are basic but clean. Quiet location, with no disturbance from the road. For large motorhomes over 8.5 m, maneuvering is somewhat difficult if the site is not full, but possible.
The previous reviews are no longer up to date, as there has probably been a change of manager. Very warm welcome from a young couple; campsite well located, clean, and quiet; pitches well defined; sanitary facilities well arranged; good value for money. A good place to stop or even stay in Lisieux.
Dirty, especially the sanitary facilities, and noisy between two busy roads. The only positive point is water and grey-water disposal at the pitch, plus a bus stop right outside, which is convenient for going into town.
This is truly faded glory. The worst campsite we have stayed at in two years of camping. We changed our booking from two nights to one, but really I would have preferred to leave immediately. A stop to forget quickly.
Dirty campsite, dog feces and a mussel shell on the pitch, water leaking from the taps on the pitch and lots of mud, nothing for emptying grey water. We had reserved a pitch one week in advance because our motorhome is 10 meters long, but when we arrived the pitch was occupied. In the evening everyone returned; some had a badge and opened the gate for everyone.
Very noisy campsite located in an industrial area. Sanitary block dilapidated and dirty. Hedge maintenance on July 4—unfortunate for holidaymakers, as this could have been done much earlier. Several vehicles have got into the habit of settling in the campsite parking area after closing and partying until all hours. AVOID.
Nice little campsite for motorhomes, caravans, and tents. Very warm welcome. Well-defined pitches. A pizza vending machine directly opposite, a Super U 500 meters to the right, and a bus stop 500 meters to the left. The sanitary facilities are clean. In short, everything is perfect for spending one night or longer if you want to visit Lisieux.
Beautiful pitches, either nicely shaded or fully sunny, as you prefer. The sanitary facilities are a little old-fashioned but clean. Hot water. Since it is in an industrial area, it is somewhat noisy, but there is no more noise after 8 p.m. Watch the wind direction because there is a wastewater treatment plant nearby. Very bright at night. The basilica is 15 minutes away by bicycle.
Very pleasant little campsite, not far from the town center. Aldi is 500 meters away. Impeccable.
Pleasant welcome. Campsite located 2 km from the town center. Pizza vending machine opposite. Noise levels are acceptable. However, there are sometimes sewage odors when outside. This morning there was almost no hot water in the women’s shower, while my husband’s shower was nearly scalding. €20 for one night in the low season for two people and electricity is expensive.
Very warm welcome. The price of €23 for two people, a dog, and electricity was too high for the services provided. No hot water, shower out of order, and the toilet door did not close. But it is a beautiful and conveniently located campsite in the town center.
Very close to Lisieux. However, it is poorly maintained: dirty facilities, no toilet paper, and no hot water, so the showers have been padlocked and there is nowhere to wash your hands.
The site is nice and quiet at night. we stayed 16th and 17th Sept 24. 21.00 euro per night with EHU. 20 minute walk to town. Toilets clean but cold shower only as boiler was out of service. Reception staff welcoming and helpful but no english. Not an issue. Lots of spaces.Nice and shaded among the trees. There is a bus stop nearby but the buses were on strike. Lots to see in town.Churches etc.
Close to the town and shops, but along a busy road. Extremely dirty, though. We stayed for four days and it was not cleaned once. Full rubbish bins and so on. Many permanent residents also use the sanitary facilities but do not feel responsible for them. They will not see us again.
