Nice, simple, spacious, quiet place. Unfortunately, the toilet can only be used from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A cycle path is nearby. The lake is about 800 m away. The lake is very clear; water shoes are useful because of the pebbles. Many small bathing spots around the lake. Not overcrowded.

Five stars are actually not enough; this place is a dream. Friendliest staff, lots of space, and the cycle path leads to the crystal-clear lake one kilometre away. It couldn't be better; I will certainly come back.

Good site on a well-maintained meadow near the Geiseltal cycle path (500 m). Quiet, close to town, about 800 m away; Rewe and restaurants are approximately 1.5 km away. Waste disposal is available except for grey water; water is available using a container; no electricity. Bicycles and phones can be charged during museum opening hours. €13/night.

Very nice and cosy meadow site. Ideal if you are self-sufficient. Fresh-water and waste disposal are also possible, just not in the usual way. Interesting museum. The site is on the cycle path and is an ideal starting point for exploring the surrounding lakes. We will come again.

Despite the price increase to €13, it is still a very nice place to camp.

I spent one night on the paved part of the site. The sanitary facilities can be used during the museum's opening hours. In the low season, there is easily a free spot. Great starting point for hikes or bike rides around the lake.

Good place to stay overnight. Walking distance to the village. Nice walking areas.

We stayed there for two nights with our dogs and had our destinations right on our doorstep. The toilet is only available during museum opening hours. However, we are self-sufficient and did not miss anything. The site was not too full, and we stood under trees in the shade. Perfect for us.

Two separate areas for motorhomes on meadow ground. Somewhat uneven, with little shade. There was plenty of space in September. You should be self-sufficient; the museum toilet can only be used during opening hours. Events are often held in the building at weekends, resulting in loud music. The nearby country road is barely audible at night. The cycle path around the lake borders the site directly. We liked it.

The site is probably great. When I was there, there was a summer festival and everything was full of tents, motorhomes, and caravans. Finding a space was not the problem. But according to a visitor, the summer festival cost around €120, with €80 for the pitch. That was too much for me, so I drove on. Maybe another time.

Beautiful and quiet. You can choose your own pitch. Toilet waste disposal is only possible during a specific period. Using the toilet costs €0.50. I paid €12 for one night on my own, which I consider too expensive.

It is a wonderful place. We felt comfortable on the quiet site. We were able to arrive late in the evening and took care of payment the next morning. There is a playground and the possibility to use a toilet and empty the camper toilet. A great place, with shops and a bathing lake nearby.

No marked spots, so you can park however it suits you. Super calm and quiet place. There’s even a nice wooden table with benches to enjoy a meal outside. If you’re self-equipped, you won’t need anything else. No toilets, but it’s not a problem. Just bring window covers – some lamps stay on at night. Definitely worth it! (12e/per night).

A spacious and well-maintained site, especially for self-sufficient camping. The €12 per night/vehicle paid to the association supporting the facility is money well spent. The approximately 30 km bike ride around the lake on paved paths is highly recommended.

Drive past the large building to reach the large meadow. No fixed pitches. Pay at the museum. €12 per night in 2025.

A great place for self-sufficient campers. It's nice that places like this still exist; our motorhomes have everything on board. The question of electricity comes up repeatedly, but with solar panels and a sensible battery you can stay for days. With toilet waste disposal available, everything is perfect.

Nice motorhome site; we spent a quiet night here. Sufficiently large pitches. One star deducted because there is no electricity or grey-water disposal, and the facilities are somewhat inconvenient.

Very quiet motorhome site, with straightforward payment in the museum shop. The €10 parking fee includes use of the museum toilet if you ask politely (open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Unfortunately, there is no electricity, but the location near the lake is excellent. However, passing lorries wake you early in the morning. Nevertheless, highly recommended!

A really nice place to stay if you can manage without an electric hookup. You can choose between parking in the spaces in front of the building or behind it on a large field, with more shade and no marked spaces. In the latter area, you can hear some noise from the power station. We stayed in front. A cycle path runs right alongside, all the way around Lake Geiseltal, with small beaches everywhere. Mostly pebble beaches.
