19 Rue de Charcenay, 37230, Fondettes
Been here?
A small green picnic area with tables, a stream and around 6 to 7 large parking spaces. It is suitable for a picnic, but the nearby busy road makes it too noisy for some overnight stays. There is no rubbish bin, and a bird observatory is nearby.

Large enough for a heavy vehicle. Good for a picnic break, but too noisy for me at night because of the busy expressway just a few meters away.
Very beautiful place surrounded by greenery, with a picnic table and a small stream. Very quiet night. Thanks to Val de Choisille.
We arrived in the evening and the road was not blocked. Quiet night; in the morning we were woken by the road, probably because we slept in the rooftop tent. A small area behind the site where Loulou could stretch his legs. No bin. When we left, the road had been blocked, but no problem—we took the road on the other side. Despite everything, we recommend it.
August 25: the road was closed, what a shame...
Lovely quiet place to spend the night. Thanks for this parking spot suggested by the app, because this Saturday evening it was difficult to find anywhere! There are still six spaces. We have a 7.4 m camper. The parking area is before the bridge, so there are no problems.
It's a tiny parking area right beside a fairly busy road, with the ring road 50 m away. However, it could be good for visiting the city and then sleeping peacefully.
The first stop of our holiday, discovered somewhat by chance. It is very picturesque, with a river and greenery all around, and a dry toilet nearby, but no bins or water point. As a first stop, we were fully loaded and delighted to spend a quiet night here, and our beagle enjoyed it too!
We spent the night here. It was quiet. The nearby road can barely be heard and not at all at night. Pleasant for an overnight stop.
This parking area is currently flooded due to the overflowing stream.
For those who enjoy risk and a taste of adventure, the rest-area toilets will meet your expectations. There is no bin here (except in the toilets, naturally), and no water. This magnificent area offers you NOTHING. Vehicles are limited to 3.5 tonnes, and a magnificent 2.85 m bridge will block your route. Finally, it is far from everything—in short, the numbers don't add up, Kevin.
A great little quiet and peaceful spot to rest safely.
We slept very peacefully. There are several picnic tables in the area. There is another smaller parking area less than 100 m away where the eco-toilet is located. The parking spaces there are more sloped. The downside is that there is no water or drinking fountain. Good place to visit the city of Tours. We cycled into the center, about half an hour along a very pleasant path by the bird observatory.
