Shaded riverside site, showers included

We spent three wonderful days. Close to Saumur via a cycle route and to the royal abbey via the wine route or country paths. Plenty of shaded spaces. Excellent services, although it is a shame that electricity is unavailable, and a very friendly municipal employee gave us good advice. Highly recommended!

We stayed here from the 13 July for a few days. We have stayed here in the past and it is still a superb place to come to. A seasonal bus service runs from the bus stop at the Aire to Saumur, also easy cycling to Saumur which is cycle friendly. A baker's van comes each morning at around 8.15. There's a cafe and restaurant nearby and a bakery/cafe on the cycle path at Parnay, 30 mins walk away.

A great campsite. Drive in and park anywhere. Quiet with loads of shady trees. Toilet and a shower available on site. Pizza van shows up certain days as do local wine producers selling their wares. Opposite is a restaurant and by the entrance a bar cafe. Waste empty and fresh water point, but no electricity. For €7.05 (tourist tax for 2 included) it represents great value

Shaded park behind the town hall; you can choose your pitch freely. A toilet and shower are provided. Very well located along the Loire. All this for €8. Thank you to the town hall for offering this to motorhome travelers; places like this are very rare.

A real find. €7.04 per night, no electricity, but there are toilets, a shower, waste disposal, and water. Lovely tranquil site; park wherever you want, with plenty of shade. Pay by card from 7 p.m. A bakery van comes daily from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m., and tonight a local wine producer was there to offer tastings and sales at 7 p.m. I believe a different producer comes on Wednesdays and Saturdays in high season. The riverside path borders the site. Truly a fabulous place.

It is true that there is no barrier, and Magalie comes by in the evening with all her good advice and kindness—real human warmth. Thank you very much, mayor. Everything is perfect.

It is true that there is no electrical hookup. But there is an outlet available for charging bicycle batteries in the stilted building. There is also a freely accessible toilet and shower. What more could you ask for?

Our second visit to this shaded aire with toilets and a toilet/shower. Grey- and black-water disposal and fresh water are available, all for €7.04 per night for two people. You are free to choose your spot, where we enjoy the sound of cicadas and birds. Thank you to the municipality.

Very good spot for €7, with toilets, shower, grey- and black-water disposal. A cycle path nearby lets you visit Saumur in one direction and the troglodyte village of Dampierre in the other. Magali is a wonderful attendant who comes after 7 p.m. to collect payment. One to remember for a future visit.

Nothing to say—calm and peaceful place. Magalie is funny and friendly. The baker who comes in the morning honking is great! We will return!

Magnificent pitches on a former campsite. Entrance without a barrier. Magali comes at the end of the day to collect the €7; her welcome says it all. We cycled to Saumur without any problems. You arrive at the foot of the castle, then can move through the pedestrian and cycling center with ease. We recommend this ideally located place.

Wow! Beautiful greenery, trees, and shade! Perfect during this heatwave week! Many places to visit nearby. There is always space when returning around 6 p.m. The baker's morning service is much appreciated. Pizza on Wednesdays! Congratulations!

Thank you to the municipality for this beautiful aire at a very affordable price: €7, water and waste disposal, and a freely accessible shower. The bakery comes every day with bread and croissants. There are wonderful walks and an easy cycle path to Saumur. Above all, our little ray of sunshine every day, MAGALIE—I will allow myself to give her a big kiss. We will gladly return.

One of those rare places designed for us rather than to make money. Seven euros with waste disposal, toilets, showers, and incredible spacious pitches under the trees. A woman comes by in the afternoons to collect payment; on Wednesdays there is a pizza truck, and a baker comes at 8:30. Thanks to the town hall, and let us hope it never becomes a Camping-Car Park.

Do not hesitate to stop here; the aire is very pleasant and spacious. The nearby troglodyte circuit is worth seeing.

Great place, 4 km from Saumur. For only €7, you get a spacious motorhome pitch with free choice of location. You can use a public toilet if needed. In the evening, the lady comes around to collect payment. She is very friendly and extremely helpful with tips about nearby attractions.
