A large, accessible dirt car park in the wooded heights of Ambronay, near many walking trails and picnic tables. The area is generally quiet, although there is some morning traffic. The toilets and water point described originally no longer exist.

Quiet place, with some traffic in the morning. Unfortunately, there are no more toilets.
Very nice place, but the water and toilets no longer exist.
Pleasant spot next to many walking trails. We had the pleasure of meeting the resident directly opposite and politely asking whether he minded us parking here for one night. He was very pleasant and said there was no problem at all. The parking area is very large, and the traffic is mainly from hikers.
We wanted to stay for the night, but it is a dirt parking area directly in front of a house, so we continued on our way.
Background noise from a disco or sound system. We did not stay overnight on Saturday and found peace and quiet in the parking area at the abbey in Ambronay.
