2751 Avenue de Vizens, 65100, Lourdes
Been here?
Large forest picnic area minutes from Lourdes with no height restrictions. Picnic tables, children's play areas, and water access available. Day visits are safe and pleasant, but overnight stays are unsafe; the area has a poor reputation with documented incidents of theft, vandalism, and threatening gatherings at night. Police may visit to discourage sleeping.

Do not sleep here, the place has a very bad reputation and is almost dangerous, as is the whole forest. Many strange and ill-intentioned people at night. Being from Lourdes, I know what I am talking about! However, you can spend the day here without problems.Translating
Nothing to complain about, just noisy with the children until 6 p.m.; after that, no problems.Translating
Great spot for sleeping, very quiet. Near the water. We arrived in the evening around 9 p.m., but the municipal police came around 2 p.m. to tell us we should not sleep here while we were eating. I think if you arrive late, you should not have any problems.Translating
Quiet until 3 a.m., when some young people in several cars stopped and threw eggs at all the motorhomes before leaving, screeching their tires.Translating
Parking in the forest, very quiet, a few minutes from Lourdes town centre, suitable for stopping and sleeping. Picnic tables, children's play areas, and right at the entrance to the forest. A few passing vehicles belonging to walkers.Translating
We spent two nights here; truly a great spot. Quiet at night, with the sounds of birds and owls. Quiet during the day too, with a few walkers and families with children. The children's park is really great, with lots of games; our son loved it. Easy access with a caravan.Translating
Very nice! Lots of shady spaces. We only stopped to eat. However, people are really disgusting... rubbish everywhere, even though bins are available! Please pick up your rubbish to leave the place beautiful and clean!Translating
Great place to sleep, no noise except nature, very few people at night. Very close to Lourdes.Translating
Quiet forest with games for children and picnic tables, lots of shade. Very peaceful night.Translating
Very beautiful place in the middle of rare wilderness. Large trees and birds; during the week, true peace and quiet guaranteed.Translating
Great pitch with no services except bins. Far from the road when going deeper into the forest. Close to Lourdes.Translating
So we did not get to enjoy a peaceful place: two huge “families” with more than 30 cars decided to have a huge campfire. We also confirm the arrival of a grey Dacia, which itself became frightened by this gathering! In short, the atmosphere felt completely unsafe.Translating
Great, very peaceful spot in a recreational area among the trees. Very large area, allowing you to have your own space even when several people are already there. We experienced no disturbance or suspicious behaviour. Tables are scattered around. Very peaceful, with no traffic at night. Near a Lourdes campsite if needed. Really lovely!Translating
I can confirm what others have said. In all the spots in the area, a grey car keeps driving around nonstop. It parked next to me three times, waiting for I don't know what. Then it followed me. Finally, it passed by about ten more times, slowly, staring insistently. Impossible to relax peacefully. The person seems psychologically unstable and is looking for something.Translating
Although the place is perfect, two cars—a red station wagon and, I think, a grey Dacia—drive around all evening and eventually come to disturb you at night. An older individual, probably a psychopath and not on their first attempt. One of them started approaching even though the area is huge. We preferred to leave, even though it was late.Translating
Very quiet and spacious area. Ideal for families.Translating
We had lunch here. Large green shaded area and many picnic tables. We will not stay overnight because our journey continues… from the other comments, it is unclear whether sleeping here is allowed.Translating
Very nice place to stop for lunch. Be careful: sleeping overnight is prohibited.Translating
Very good place where we had lunch. There are lots of spaces, many picnic tables and a children's play area. Everything is shaded by trees.Translating
We slept here for one night. Great spot, unfortunately it rained all evening. There were a few vans with us, but there is really plenty of space.Translating
At 9 p.m. I was outside with my dog when the police came from the road. I was told that I was not allowed to spend the night here and had to leave or I would receive a fine. They only drove past the three French motorhomes. Then the police left the site. I have actually only had good experiences in France; it was a very strange situation. Germans are apparently not welcome.
A beautiful, clean place with many walking trails, a quiet area, tables, and no services.
Lovely place! Camping is not allowed, but there are picnic tables. There is a pétanque court, shade, and a beautiful walking area. If you walk to the campsite (10 minutes), you can take bus L4 to Lourdes there for €1 per person. This line can also be used in Lourdes to visit various attractions. It follows the same route as the little tourist train, which costs €9 and takes much longer.
