This riverside lay-by offers space for 1 or 2 vans, with steps down to the water for swimming or launching a SUP. It is near a road and a restaurant, although recent evenings have been very quiet. The area is close to the forest and the Charente, and there are no services. A rubbish bin is available, but there are no toilets.

Wonderful little wild camp spot, space for 1 or 2 vans. Close to the road but it was very quiet in the evening, great spot for an afternoon swim with steps down to the riverside!
Nice place, but quite close to a busy road where locals drive fairly fast. Not very convenient for letting the dog out beside the van. I did not stay there.
Parking area next to a restaurant, near the forest and the Charente. No mosquitoes. Very quiet. Other campervans present. One bin but no toilets. I even saw two deer when I woke up. Charming place.
