This is a large campsite on a former farm in Asel-Süd beside the Edersee, with varied pitches, a playground and campfire possibilities. A tent for one person costs 22 Euro, showers cost 50 Cent, and rinsing costs 20 Cent; a motorhome with electricity, three dogs and tax was approximately 50€. There is a three-day minimum stay, and only up to 30% of the Haferfeld meadow is usable because much of the remaining area is very sloping. Charging is open for 1, 5 hours in the morning and briefly on Saturday afternoon, while the restaurant is closed Monday to Wednesday. Sanitary facilities are described as very poorly maintained, and there is no proper reception despite online booking.

Restaurant closed Monday to Wednesday. No proper reception, online booking only. Large site with a nice playground; campfires possible. Newer toilets, clean and good. Water 10 minutes away. Conclusion: I will not come back.
We were there over Corpus Christi, with a three-day minimum stay. The free Haferfeld meadow is at most 30% usable; the rest is so uneven that even with hydraulics and levelling wedges there is no chance. From the second day, the youth fire brigade set up its tents 1.5 m away, so we left one night early. The sanitary facilities apparently were not cleaned on the public holiday.
Hygiene, especially in the sanitary facilities, is truly abysmal: toilets not cleaned, and parts of the site look like a bulky-waste dump. Poor value for money; a motorhome pitch with electricity, three dogs and tax cost almost €50. The only positive was that the kiosk staff were very friendly and attentive. What a shame.
Large campsite with a variety of pitches (levelling blocks needed for the cheaper ones), beautiful location and views, and free camping without a designated pitch possible. One sanitary building is older; the others are containers. Nice with goats and ponies. Only two things are unacceptable: keeping chickens and geese. Better to get rid of them. I wish more guests would make the operators aware of this.
