Been here?
Peaceful family campsite in garrigue between Cévennes and Mediterranean, 2 km from Castries and 15 minutes from Montpellier. Two swimming pools (May–September), children's playground, snack bar, and laundry available. Clean but aging toilets. Friendly, welcoming staff. Small vans cost around €38 per night without electricity; ACSI cardholders €19/night except July–August. Snack bar prices are relatively high.

Pleasant camping with our small pitch for the van in front of the snack bar. The sanitary facilities are old but very clean, the staff very pleasant, and the pastries delicious. One minor drawback is the snack bar's prices, especially the €20 tapas assortment, which leaves you hungry. Choose the pizza instead, which is cheaper. Cocktail of the day: mojito with fresh mint for €10, to sip slowly.Translating
The campsite in the countryside behind Montpellier is a little paradise. We were only passing through for one night and were given a very friendly welcome. The snack bar and restaurant were perfect after a long drive. Clean, good sanitary facilities. Level pitches, with the site terraced on the hillside. Easy to reach even for larger vehicles. We were traveling in a T6.1. Highly recommended.Translating
Passing through Theyran because of a problem with our motorhome, we stopped at this great little campsite on July 16 and really appreciated the kindness of the staff and the karaoke evening, where many young people sang the songs of our youth. All the best to you. France still has wonderful young people!Translating
Basic campsite, a little expensive for what it is: small van, two adults, one teenager, and one child, without electricity, one night €38. Very friendly and cordial staff. Large, level pitch. The bathroom facilities should be modernized, made more private, and cleaned two or three times a day.Translating
We had an excellent stay at Camping Fondespierre. The setting is really pleasant, quiet, and well maintained, perfect for relaxing with family or friends.Translating
Family campsite away from the large complexes, between scrubland and forest, between the Cévennes and the Mediterranean. This is the place to be! A great team, an excellent local snack bar and restaurant, and two swimming pools for the best refreshment. If you want peace, walks, and a family atmosphere, this is where you should come!Translating
We recently discovered this place, which can be called paradise! Everything is provided for a perfect holiday: ideal pitches, two swimming pools, a snack bar, and beautiful walks starting nearby. Located near Castries, you can visit Montpellier and the Cévennes, and of course reach Palavas-les-Flots beach in less than 15 minutes. We love it!Translating
We discovered a little corner of paradise. A small campsite nestled in the scrubland. Excellent welcome, with a great snack bar on site for enjoying a good cocktail and a meal. We will return.Translating
We only used the site for an overnight stay, but it seemed well organized. The showers were clean, and the receptionist was very attentive.Translating
I stayed there for 4 nights with an ACSI card stating €19 per night, or €76 for the stay. The lady charged me €86.40. Why not €76? The campsite is peaceful but requires a lot of work.Translating
We used it for one night. Helpful staff at the reception, but the campsite was very outdated, uneven pitches, broken roads, old sanitary facilities, the children's playground was not working well
Hiking trails start from the campsite. Avoid pitches 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32, which are too close to the bins. Quiet and far from everything.Translating
Nice campsite, welcoming staff who gave good advice about things to do nearby. The sanitary facilities were decent.Translating
Friendly campsite with a friendly owner. Wi-Fi costs extra, but unfortunately it was unavailable.Translating
A campsite that has really seen better days. Warning: the prices listed are incorrect! They charge significantly more, which is not justified for a site this remote. Dogs barking until late at night and starting again at 7 a.m.—unbearable! Be careful when emptying the toilet cassette: a huge fat rat came towards me!Translating
Pros: very pleasant reception staff, large pitches, and clear instructions. Cons: noisy children's activities until late (midnight or 1 a.m.). As mentioned in a previous review, avoid pitches 27, 28 and 29. The sanitary facilities were dirty at the end of the day.Translating
Hello everyone. Avoid pitches 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32, which are too close to the playground, pool and snack bar. Avoid the snack bar too. I'm telling you how we experienced it.Translating
Very quiet campsite, spacious pitches, and hiking trails nearby. I am not giving it five stars because the bathrooms could be a little cleaner. We spent two very pleasant nights there. Recommended.Translating
Very nice, quiet campsite with spacious pitches, spotless sanitary facilities, and very friendly staff.Translating
Very nice campsite with a very helpful lady and caretaker. Very close to Montpellier. You can take tram line 2 from Aube Rouge in Castelnau-les-Lez to the Comédie stop in central Montpellier. You can park the motorhome at Aldi. The tram stop is at the top of the ramp behind Aldi. You get two hours free, then €3 per hour. The campsite is surrounded by nature and peacefully located. Great place!Translating
Beautiful pitches separated by trees and bushes. Very peaceful. The surrounding area is ideal for short walks or bike rides. The sanitary facilities were clean but very old. There was a heated area in autumn. There is no separation between the women's and men's areas. The dishwashing sinks are directly opposite the toilets.Translating
It was ok. 32€ Motorhome 2 adults and two children (2 and 7 years old). From Baillargues you can take the train to Montpellier.
Expensive campsite for what it is. I paid €30 for one night alone in a van without electricity. Nothing exceptional otherwise, but it is quiet and the pool is nice.
Pleasant campsite! Very quiet, very clean sanitary facilities, and a well-maintained pool. Ideal for relaxing for a few days. Beautiful hikes start near the campsite.
It's a good camping. It is honest 3 stars as claimed. Pitches are a bit sloppy so make sure you can level your car. with the tent you have less options. At the same time they have nice trees and bushes, kids playground and swimming pool in the summer. Good place overall. I would recommend for stopover for two nights maybe even longer. No water connection on the pitch. Facilities are basic.
