Canal-side parking, early traffic noise

This small parking area beside the canal can accommodate 3/4 motorhomes when the street is clear. The canal path provides pleasant walking, while Lidl is opposite and allows toilet use. The cobbled road can be noisy, with traffic and lorries reported from early morning, including deliveries to Lidl. A chippy, pubs and pizza are a short walk away.

Great spot along side the canal. With the canal and walkers path at one side and Lidl on the other side, (Lidll were quite happy for us to use the toilets). Parking on a old cobbled street, had a good night's sleep although be prepared for early deliveries to Lidl. would recommend for walkers and canal lovers.
It would be a great overnight spot, but cars—including trucks—pass by every minute until well after midnight and from 6:00 a.m. The road is quite narrow, making it very noisy, and the cobblestones add to the noise. A shame, it would otherwise be really cozy here.
Lovely little spot by the canal. You have the canal on one side with a lovely path for walkers and Lidl on the other side, with a toilet and late opening times. There were a few campers there when we arrived but plenty of room for others too. There is a chippy a short walk away, plus pubs and pizza etc. The street is cobbled so quite noisy but you get used to it. Would go back, it’ll be gorgeous in summer! X
Nice spot but early morning noise fron wagons starting around 5.30am. Cobbled lane so noisy from that too.
I also live local to this spot and it was lovely to see 4 motorhomes there when I walked past earlier. people were sat on the canal path but not obstructing in anyway. This spot is very close to the town centre and supermarkets and lovely walks along the canal.....Happy camping everyone....enjoy xx
