Woodland picnic area, no services

Basically a beautiful location with tables among the trees. However, during a walk through the woods we realized that this was about all it offered. The “hiking trails” led to the road, past power poles and piles of rubbish, and tire tracks were visible throughout the forest. Loud motorcycles drove through the woods. Small larvae were everywhere on the car!✦Translating

Perfect place. We had an undisturbed, peaceful night there. We had the place to ourselves, although it was December. Finding a level area alone was no problem, but when it is full this will certainly be more difficult.✦Translating

Actually a very beautiful place with nice picnic areas. We arrived in the middle of the night, though, and it was very dark, with no lighting at all, in the middle of the forest. During the day it is all the more beautiful. :)✦Translating

Magnificent spot in the middle of Tuscany. Quiet location with about ten kilometers of uphill road. Unfortunately, network reception is weak or nonexistent. I still recommend it; it is a really pleasant place.✦Translating

Absolutely wonderful spot in nature. We were completely undisturbed apart from a couple of dog-walking locals who were extremely friendly. Lots of picnic benches and places to hang out. The road is close but is not very busy. Lots of trees and shade to escape the Tuscan heat! Cannot recommend this place enough!

Very beautiful, shady place beside a mountain road, which is little used, so it is peaceful. Small gravel surface. 45 minutes from Florence. No bin on site, but there are containers along the road. No services.✦Translating

Very quiet place, picnic tables, but unfortunately no water fountain. Plenty of shade and room for several vans, and although the road is nearby, there is little noise. We would return!✦Translating
