5 Calle Nevera, 47340, Sardón de Duero
Been here?
Roadside parking beside the Duero River, suitable for a short stop, picnic, swimming and possibly an overnight stay. The village’s shops, fuel station, bars and restaurants are 2 minutes away. There is little shade and limited space, while the entrance can be too narrow for larger vehicles, especially those over 2,5m wide. Recent works with safety tape have made the area less pleasant.

It is fine for making a short stop, but there is not much shade or space, or perhaps we could not get into the parking area we were supposed to use.
We only stopped for lunch. There is construction tape around, which is not very pleasant.
Very pleasant. It is a place surrounded by nature, peaceful and safe. The village has all the necessary services, including a shop open on Sundays. It is not specifically set up for overnight stays, but they allow you to spend the night peacefully by the Douro River.
We did not stay overnight. It is a riverside area with a small open space where you can stay, but it is a little gloomy.
Very pleasant for swimming and having a picnic, but we are very disappointed that there is no shower even though it was indicated!
A very good spot for a quiet night. Nice little village with a stork’s nest on the church tower and many swallow nests (very active in June!).
We love stopping near the river. If your vehicle is more than 2.5 m wide, it might not be the best option. People shower and swim in the river; they are tolerant as long as you leave everything tidy. A very good place to rest, and in the village you can find all the services: a shop, tobacco, a petrol station, bars, a restaurant, and good local wines.
