Calm sunny parking, no electricity

Satisfactory parking with water and waste disposal, one night €9.60. I have been coming here for a few years; it is always full on the evenings before the Tuesday market. Three years ago I noticed that the number of motorhomes had dropped significantly, and this year, in July 2026, there were only 12, whereas it was usually between 20 and 25. It should also be noted that the town center is losing shops, with some having closed.

You only pay if you stay overnight. This was confirmed by the municipal police, who were present when I arrived at 11 a.m. I stayed for three hours to visit.

Very dusty parking area, with a little shade under a few trees. €9.60 per night. The municipal agent is very friendly and comes by in the morning. No electricity, but there is water. However, it is very old and not maintained by the municipality of Vaison-la-Romaine. Well located for visiting the town center.

There is plenty of space. The trees and gravel give it a bit of a campsite feel. You can walk straight into the town center. All facilities are available. Appeal: bring some food, such as cat food, for the sweetest stray cat roaming around there! A real charmer. When it is warm, leave some water out for her. There are already a few plastic or aluminum bowls scattered around. Thank you!

Excellent motorhome area, with functioning service point and close to the center. Little shade, three spaces not marked out. Easy pedestrian route to the historic center. A friendly, smiling attendant comes by in the morning to collect payment. Thank you, Vaison! One star deducted because the spaces are not separated.

Really not great, packed in like sardines, no solidarity among motorhome owners, some take two spaces. Avoid; the municipality really does nothing to accommodate motorhome travelers.

Very quiet area, very reasonable price for one night. The lack of electricity prevents a longer stay, which may be the municipality's intention and is understandable. In any case, you absolutely must visit this magnificent town. Thanks again to the municipality!

This Saturday, March 21, at 9 a.m., the services were not free when the attendant came by! We stopped for 15 minutes to empty the tanks and take on 50 liters of water, but had to pay for 24 hours of parking and two tourist taxes, despite our documents proving our good faith. We were told, “I don't have a surveillance camera to check.” Unfair!

Motorhome area very well located for visiting Vaison and its surroundings. On December 26, we enjoyed a magnificent fireworks display and the Christmas market. All emptying and filling services were working that day. Thank you to the municipality.

As usual for several years, the water is turned off because of the cold. Gentlemen of the municipality, could you install a professional insulation system? Several motorhome owners empty their toilets without being able to clean them, which is really not hygienic at all. The other solution is to contact Camping-Car Park, because they know how to do it!!!!

Large concrete area with a beautiful view. A few minutes' walk from the center, close to a bakery. Good base for exploring the region. Thanks to the municipality!

Perfect area, a stone's throw from the town center. We did not see the municipal employee because he was ill, so we went to the town hall to pay €9.60, as these places provided by the municipality need to be preserved. Very large market every Tuesday.

Thank you to the municipality for making this area available to us. Very easy to reach the town center on foot. It is a shame that some clever people arrive very late, fill up and empty their tanks, then leave at 6 a.m. so they do not have to pay. This is how one day we will end up with barriers managed by a company that wants to build its network, with higher prices.

A special greeting to the Belgian camping friends who watched our futile search for a space with mocking grins, while naturally occupying two spaces with one camper. This site urgently needs markings. Humanity is becoming increasingly selfish and inconsiderate. What a shame.

What a mess; some people occupy several spaces. We had to sleep in the countryside. Twenty motorhomes for 30 spaces and the police say nothing! Also, an adjacent parking area is closed off with stones. Not another cent should be spent in this lovely town.

What a change over the years! The area has been overtaken by Vaison's urban development and shares the waste area—recycling and household rubbish—with local residents. Inconsiderate motorhome owners take over the camping spaces and settle in for a long time. Fewer than 30 motorhomes can spend a night there. Fortunately, Vaison is still just as beautiful and pleasant to visit!

It is no longer a parking area but a campsite, with inconsiderate motorhome owners spreading out chairs and tables. The municipality could mark the spaces to prevent this kind of abuse. That would allow more vehicles to be accommodated.

Excellent spot. Peaceful night, very friendly municipal employee collecting payment. Town center nearby and welcoming shopkeepers. The only downside is the long-stayers and their outdoor setup, along with their dogs' concert. Otherwise, top-notch!!!

Night of September 4–5. The motorhomes are parked anywhere. The cashier could act as a traffic officer. Not worth €9.60.

We spent one night, convenient for visiting the town. There is little shade, so we were very hot. It is a shame there is no electricity.
