Unnamed Road, CF62, Barry
Been here?
A main car park overlooking Whitmore Bay, with beautiful views and public toilets down the steps. Recent visitors have stayed overnight, paying £2.15 when arriving at 20 and leaving before 08. Height barriers of 2.1m restrict most of the car park, leaving only limited spaces for taller vehicles.

We stayed all night. Very quiet and a wonderful view. Height restrictions only at some points. For the price (those arriving after 8 p.m. and leaving before 8 a.m. pay €2.15), unbeatable in the area.
Lovely view from the corner bus parking. £2.15 for 2 hours. A little confusing to know what to pay for (options are car or bus). We were parked in the 'bus' area due to height restrictions in the car park but we paid car prices because... we're not a bus... Campers - the forgotten vehicles
beautiful views from the car park overlooking Whitmore bay at Barry Island
Lovely park up overlooking the beach, however they have now put up 6’10” (2.1m) barriers to stop larger vehicles accessing the majority of the car park. There are limited spaces before this restriction, however these always seem to be taken up by cars.
Free from 23:00 until 08:00. Spent the night here along with two other motorhomes
Big car park but 2/3 of it has height restrictions and typically all the cars park in the non height restricted area! A few longer spaces down one end of the coach parking. Paid as a car £6.65 for all day till 4pm. Another tarrif 4pm to 11pm. Good access to beach, coffee shops and chip shops, nice day out. Can pay via app.
No overnight allowed, barriers locked so nothing over 6ft 1 inch allowed in. We had paid all day so should have been allowed to park until 23.00hrs. At 15.00hrs attendant told us we must leave or would get locked in later. Not a nice experience.
We arrived on Sunday at 7 p.m. hoping to find a space, only to discover that a huge fair was taking place, causing complete traffic chaos. We drove on.
lovely spot for an overnight stay. Close to the beach and amenities. arrived at 5pm so cost £3. only issue is you either pay extra or leave before 8am. would stop here again though.
stopped here overnight with 4 more campervans, views are awesome if you park up top of the carpark. had a goodnights sleep was very quiet and felt safe. arrived around 5pm so only had to pay £3 parking.
Excellent, couldn’t ask for a better spot for off grid, great for dogs and kids, literally right above the beach, £6.50 for all day, sign said gates got locked at 7.30 pm, stayed on a Saturday night during school holidays, flat pitches at the top far end of car park, but windy
Apart from the rain and wind, lovely views of the beach and incoming tide. Huge car park, great view points.
Nice and pleasant lot's of room
