Tree-lined lay-by, daytime noise

A long, wide road lay-by protected by trees, but recent stays report considerable traffic noise and uneven ground. It is busy with cars and lorries, especially during the day, and may suit truckers better than overnight campers. There are no bins, litter is present, and phone signal on Three is very good.

Absolutely fine. It's a little noisy but with earplugs it's fine. Couple of cars and a couple of lorries. Eerie at night tho
Nothing good about this lay-by other than its ok for a coffee break. Very noisy traffic, the trees do not shield the noise! There is litter everywhere - disgusting. Nowhere is level. This lay-by is more suited for truckers and best left for them as there's plenty of space for their wagons.
Way too much traffic noise for my liking so I didn't stay the night. The A40 was still very busy at 10pm midweek. A few lorries parked here. I guess with earplugs you might be OK.
