Been here?
This elongated, free parking area is at the Kaupanger-Gudvangen ferry quay, in front of a cliff. Parking is limited to 6h, and camping is not allowed. It has a clean public toilet, picnic tables, fjord swimming with a diving board, and a small fenced ball field. The ferry docks only twice a day, and the area is sheltered from strong winds.

We stopped to eat and see the church. Maximum 6 hours. We set the parking disc just in case.
It was good, toilet is very clean and open on sundays as well. For parking up to 6h.
There are several signs saying "No Camping".
Very quiet with a beautiful view. We spent the whole day driving through the fjords battling very strong westerly winds and gusts. Now we are standing here well protected and can even put up the satellite dish without worrying that a gust will knock it over.
There is a 'No Camping' sign at the parking area. It does not seem entirely intended for parking in the waiting lanes for the ferry.
