Been here?
A quiet roadside spot for a single campervan on the road to Dunnet Head, suitable for one night. It is fairly flat and isolated, with very little traffic, especially overnight, and a small loch behind the parking area. The spot is clean and offers views, while the lighthouse can be reached on foot. Toilets and facilities are available at the beach car park 5 min away.

Excellent place, flat and fairly isolated, with very little traffic, especially at night. There is even a small loch just behind the spot. In the morning, you can quickly move on to have coffee up at Dunnet Head. We found the place clean and left it clean; now it is your turn! Please be respectful.
I stayed at the spot just after this one, as this one was already occupied, and it was perfect! Walked to the lighthouse with the dogs and had a wonderfully peaceful night.
Had a great night's stay here. The kids paddled in the loch, the dog was happy sitting on the grass, and we adults made a lovely tea by our small portable campfire. It was clean and great for one night.
Great spot for a one-night stay, with little traffic passing. I found this spot more peaceful than the car park at the top, although there are quite a few more places to park farther up the road.
Okay for one night, with nice views, although there are better spots up the road. No traffic overnight. There are toilets and facilities at the beach car park five minutes away instead of using the bushes here.
Please give this spot a break to recover. The path to the loch is overgrown and being used as a toilet. Tissue everywhere, not walkable. This place used to be gorgeous. So many holes have been dug for toileting that you cannot dig any more. It is also parking for fishing, needed early in the morning and evening. I am a local van owner and really upset at the way people are treating this place as a toilet.
Great place for one night. Very quiet location with a beautiful view. I also had good reception and hiked to the lighthouse, saving the need to park up there.
Be careful to choose the correct side of the Gave. On one side it is impossible, in the middle of the cornfields; on the other side it is more rural. The right side when going up along the Gave is the correct one!
