Very well-located campsite, just behind the dune, five minutes’ walk from the sea and surf schools, and ten minutes’ walk from Lacanau center. The facilities are high quality: excellent indoor and outdoor water park, many outdoor games, and regularly cleaned sanitary facilities. Security guard at the entrance 24/7. The entertainment staff give 200 percent. All this comes at a price: €94 per day for four people in high season.Translating
First, the positive: great for families with children up to teenagers! Large swimming pool! The negative: €87 for two adults and a dog in the low season is quite steep if you disregard the pool and location, because the sanitary facilities are merely so-so, although there were toilet seats and toilet paper. We watched the maintenance workers and gardeners drive off every minute. They should have introduced categories.Translating
Very good campsite, very clean and with all services. The pitches are spacious and have electricity, although in some cases it is a little far away, depending on where you are assigned. The water area is very good; the only drawback is that men and boys cannot wear swim shorts—it has to be briefs or boxer briefs, and I don’t understand why. The café has everything, but it is not cheap at all. I would definitely return.Translating
We came for one night and were satisfied. Friendly welcome in German. Just under €30 for the pitch; it was quiet and everything was clean. The water park saved us somewhat because of the weather and was also one reason for choosing this site. The playground is incredibly good. Certainly suitable in the low season, but the high season would not be for us. Very relaxed checkout.Translating
Two-night stay in May. Mediocre welcome: no hello, almost contemptuous. The water park was packed on Sunday, hygiene rules were not respected, and the shower area was chaotic. Not worth five stars; it is a tourist factory, and one can only imagine what it is like in summer. In short, if you like well-being and tranquility, look elsewhere.Translating
Flat, well-defined pitches with fairly tall hedges, excellent welcome, and modern, clean heated sanitary facilities. Great water park. Secure cycle paths in front of the campsite for wonderful rides, but be careful: some routes have quite a lot of elevation gain.Translating
We spent five days at this pleasant campsite, close to the beaches and town. The pitches are well defined by hedges, the sanitary facilities are clean, and the small shop is well stocked. We really enjoyed the water park, with its pleasantly warm water.Translating
We were offered a dreadful pitch. We chose another, the following day saw people walking round with site maps. We wondered as we were not French whether we were given a rubbish pitch. Lovely walk to beach which is beautiful and a pleasant way to walk into the town. Lots of restaurants still open. Water park a little bit cooler than expected but very pleasant but nowhere to properly swim.
A large, excellently organized campsite. First-class, spotlessly clean sanitary facilities, and the entire grounds are incredibly well maintained. We had a wonderful holiday for a week and felt very comfortable. We can only recommend it.Translating
Campsite with separating hedges, although some pitches are not always private, shaded, and of varying sizes. No TV under the pine trees. Wonderful water park with a wave pool and waterfall. One pitch, two people, 16A electricity, three nights: €105. Very pleasant campsite. Cycle paths. Pleasant beach 10 minutes’ walk away, with easy supervised swimming.Translating
Lovely campsite, pitches under pine trees (although naturally there is a risk of getting pine resin stuck to the camper afterwards), and a superb swimming pool included in the price. Not far from the beach, and Lacanau town is also reachable on foot. In the off-season we paid €263 for 7 nights on a pitch (2 people and a dog). Recommended here :)Translating
Three planned nights became two. Unfortunately, the weather let us down, and the sandy, dirty nature of the site was not what we expected. We are giving only four stars because we are used to better quality at five-star sites: the showers and toilets are open to one another, tiles are missing, there are lots of cobwebs, etc. Lacanau was worth seeing!Translating
The Wi-Fi is very expensive (€5 for one day) and old-fashionedly slow. Streaming is impossible. Satellite reception is available in only a limited number of places. The campsite itself is otherwise OK.Translating
Pitch with electricity for a motorhome, booked at the last minute—excellent, quiet and clean. The pool is like a miniature Center Parcs pool, brilliant, and the spa and massage are ideal for couples. Pure happiness!Translating
The campsite has everything. Great pitches. Great beach. Definitely worth a visit.Translating
We spent one night in a van at this campsite for €70, including electricity. Be aware: you need a specific motorhome adapter to connect—we were able to buy one on site for €15. The campsite offers many activities and has an indoor/outdoor pool, which is a real bonus. The ocean is right next door, accessible within a few minutes on foot.Translating
They make up prices. Shocking. Tried to get 140 euros from us for a sand pit as they knew we needed a place for the night
A very friendly welcome at reception, partly German-speaking. The pitches are pleasantly spacious and level, but in the pine area there is no satellite reception. Sanitary facilities are good and were cleaned regularly. Price: €132 with ADAC discount for 4 nights, 1 person with electricity. Wi-Fi not included. About 10–15 minutes on foot to the Atlantic, and a similar distance to the city centre. Overall, I can recommend the campsite.Translating
Pleasant and clean campsite, very well located in Lacanau Océan. However, regarding the price, one person tells you one price on Thursday, and when you arrive on Friday they announce €7 more. All because it was the weekend. Not normal.Translating
Five stars? Large facilities close to the ocean, with every amenity you do not really need. However, the sanitary facilities are dirty; the pitches are flat and sandy under the pines; about €37 per night for a motorhome, 2 people and 1 dog. You might expect better for less money.Translating
Under the pines, with dividing hedges, shade, and beautiful large pitches. Pleasant beach, easy supervised swimming; dogs allowed on the beach outside the supervised area. A lovely water park—great! Wave pool, waterfall, etc. Restaurant, bar, laundry, supermarket, immaculate sanitary facilities. One pitch, 3 people, 2 dogs, 16A electricity, 3 days for €154. Very pleasant campsite.Translating
Very pleasant welcome; modern, well-equipped facilities; close to the beach (15 minutes on foot); cramped pitches full of cigarette butts; paid Wi-Fi; unclean sanitary facilities; €37 per night for a 7.80 m motorhome, 2 people and 1 dog. It was our plan B, and we will not return.Translating
Closed during this period.
Very nice campsite, very welcoming staff, pitches well separated by beautiful hedges, quiet, very clean sanitary facilities, and an excellent water park for when the weather does not allow going to the beach. Close to the centre of Lacanau Océan with its shops and restaurants. Cycle paths start at the campsite for lovely rides. Highly recommended.
Very nice, but also very large campsite, with many mobile homes and pitches for campers. We paid €58 for 2 nights, 2 people and a VW bus. Suitable for children, as there are many activities and attractions (swimming pool, arcade, evening entertainment, etc.), so it can also be somewhat noisy. More of a campsite for experiences and activities than for simply relaxing.
Very good campsite in the off-season. Very clean, excellent value for money; we paid €38 per night for two adults and a teenager in a van, with afternoon pool access. Magnificent sunset over the ocean, accessible on foot, and close to the town centre.
