Large, fairly flat gravel-and-stone car park near the Gotthard Hospice, popular as an overnight stop, though it can get very crowded in summer with vehicles packed tightly together. Quieter in autumn, with the hospice closed but peaceful. Overnight parking appears free, though the payment system is unclear to some. There's occasional overnight tunnel-related traffic due to a nighttime tunnel closure. No services on site; snacks available nearby during the day, and a nearby atelier/bunker can be visited for a fee.

Beautiful place, used to break up the journey to Alsace. Highly recommended. No services at all.
Hello everyone, I was there last October. It was wonderful, and I also visited the Atelierbunker. It costs around 20 Swiss francs and takes almost two hours—really great. It was definitely worth the experience, and the site itself is very beautiful. You can have snacks during the day at a restaurant. I will drive by again in September. Truly recommended and free in Switzerland.
Stayed here overnight during heavy rain. Thanks to the rocky ground covered with fine gravel, even my 12-meter rig could park crosswise without problems beside the museum. Because the tunnel was temporarily closed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., there was quite a lot of traffic during the night.
Great place. The photos show everything green, but we went at the beginning of June and it was covered in snow. It was not cold, but we had to dress warmly. It is a very pleasant small village, perfect for spending one night. We did not pay because we did not understand how the system worked.
In autumn you can sometimes be completely alone here. The hospice is already closed then, but in return there is exclusive silence. A wonderful place and no comparison with summer.
