42 Langhansergässchen, 8200, Schaffhausen
Been here?
A quiet forest-edge parking area within easy walking distance of Schaffhausen's town centre, free to use overnight. No facilities are provided, so vehicles must be self-sufficient. It can fill up, especially on weekends, though extra spots are usually found a little further along the track. Expect occasional noise from dog walkers, joggers, or a nearby sawmill on weekday mornings. Access via narrow residents-only streets is possible with some GPS routes, so check the main road approach beforehand.

The parking area was full when we arrived, so we took the road on the right and found a space 400 meters farther on. Quite a few walkers on Sunday morning.Translating
Very quiet place in the forest. A few dog walkers in the early evening. Small lake reachable on foot in five minutes. Very close to the village.Translating
Very quiet, perfect spot.Translating
Typical hiking parking area, quiet and surrounded by trees, probably the only free place in town to spend the night. Joggers arrive by car in the morning, and there is sometimes a little noise from the nearby sawmill, but it is not a problem. Check the access via the main road beforehand; some GPS devices will take you through narrow streets reserved for residents.Translating
