City parking, disturbed nights

Large free car park within walking distance of the centre. Fine for parking during the day. We slept elsewhere, in the shopping centre car park near IKEA.

Huge flat parking area next to the stadium.

During the night of 5–6 November, from 1:00 a.m. onwards, the motorhome was repeatedly pelted with a filthy mixture of vomit, dirt and gravel by a group of four dark-skinned youths in a small black hatchback. They kept returning after a while for another load. I left.

The site is well located, but I did not find it particularly quiet because of constant traffic. Around midnight, teenagers were also around and violently shook the neighbours’ motorhome. They then ran laughing to their car and drove away honking wildly. Very funny :( It woke me up. The second night was quiet, without teenagers. The car park is also used by couples who come in their cars…

Nice spot. On Wednesdays there is a laiki (farmers street market) on the other end of the park (over the bridge).

Great place right next to the park. We asked the police if it was ok to stay - yes no problem, so stayed 2 nights. City is lovely, modern, hundreds of places to eat/drink & also see Roman ruins & amphitheatre. All a 15 min walk along the river. A few cars come & go to the sports centre/skatepark/church but carpark wasn’t busy & it was surprisingly quiet overnight.

Spacious parking area. The water point is at the church located at the far end of the car park, to the left of the underground entrance.

Decent spot, large car park. Be careful: there may be a market on Fridays. When we were there, there were only two traders; in high season there may be more. Also be careful at weekends, as there is a skid track in the car park. During the week it was fine.

Large car park, ideal for a large motorhome. I had a trailer; be careful, as the two entrances are not very wide, but it is manageable. Park nearby, church five minutes away, Roman amphitheatre ten minutes on foot, and restaurants everywhere near the Roman excavations.

Parked during the day. Perfect. Very spacious, with several large vehicles including motorhomes. You can walk through the park to the centre in a pleasant way. We did not sleep there, but it would also be perfectly suitable.

Free car park. We spent a quiet night there in December 2024. Four other campers were there with us.

Huge parking area with plenty of shaded spaces. Ideal for visiting the city centre. It is lit in the evening. We spent one night.
