Viewpoint parking, overnight disruption

We wanted to spend the night here, but it is not recommended. Shortly before midnight, locals threw raw eggs at us. We drove on immediately, because who knows what else might have happened. We don't know whether it was teenagers having fun or a local who dislikes vans. Before that, we had watched a beautiful sunset.

Great site, but there are a thousand biting flies when there is no wind.

Very restless parking area, with constant arrivals and departures until late at night. We also had a visit from teenagers with modified cars; fortunately, they did not stay all night. We would not spend the night here again.

Wow the views are breathtaking! We spent the night here, a little windy but fine only is there. Woke up by some little Wally piping his horn as he drove past about 1am but other than that a fab spot to stop. Plenty of bins and benches.

We had very quiet night here with 3 other campers, it’s busy during the day, but if you are lucky with weather there are stunning views. Some places are quite slope, but okay for small van. Phone reception ok.

We parked here around 5 p.m. Traffic came and went until about 10 p.m., mostly people arriving to enjoy the view. Another campervan arrived around 10:30 p.m. You can also dispose of rubbish here; there are bins.

Parked for a few hours in the afternoon but would make a fab overnight spot. Very scenic. Lots of space. Some bays a bit slopping but no problems when you arrive to the pick of the bunch! Good signal on 3/SMARTY

Quite an extraordinary aerial view. On a beautiful sunny day, there are quite a few people until sunset. Afterwards it is very quiet for the night.

Gortmore View point, stunning place to park up. Would of stayed another night but had to get rid of toilet waste. Breathtaking views extend across to Donegal and the islands of Islay and Jura off west coast of Scotland. Definitely worth the visit.

It is possible to sleep overnight. Waking up to a 360-degree view is breathtaking. After that it becomes very windy, and you have to climb the long 20-degree slope.

Very large parking area with a splendid view. You can walk along a marked 3.6 km trail starting below and leading to the promontory attached to the cliff. Bins available.

Wonderful view and beautiful sunset. Some pitches, on the right side downhill, are level; elsewhere you need leveling blocks. Very windy! We stayed here in winds up to force 5–6, but even a high-roof van already rocks. Rubbish bins available.
